Walking the cliffs - Aberystwyth to Borth

It's 31st May, 2024. Visiting my son in Aberystwyth, we usually go for a walk. this time we headed up Constitution Hill, down into Clarach Bay,up and down to Sarn Gynfelyn, over Moelcern, a few other hills on the cliffs, and finally down ito Borth. As neither of us felt up to the walk back to Aberystwyth we caught the train back. Not exactly cowardice (well, perhaps a little), but certianly a wise choice!

The monument at 1.08 - I've now found in out it's a lime kiln - "Built into the bank here is a limekiln which retains its decorative features. Local farmers needed lime to fertilise their fields but Ceredigion is the only county in Wales which has no limestone of its own. Limestone and coal were carried by sea to Wallog and other places along the Ceredigion coast. The stone was loaded through the top of the kiln and burned.
