You were very lucky that the Leith police dismissithed you after you called their dog lazy Bill lol. A walk packed with lovely wildlife and you meeting lovely subbies, smashing☺. And the back up content reminded us that no matter how miserable this summer has been it's definitely not winter 👍. Thank you, as always and we totally appreciate you sharing your walks with us even when you're not 100% 🤗.

Lovely footage as ever. I hope you recovered from the lurgy quickly. Very impressed with the Leith Police etc 👍🏻
@BillsPhoneTeignmouth20 күн бұрын
Ha ha, thanks - Yes, pretty much a full recovery in tomorrows vid. It wasn't so much the lurgy itself that effected me, as much as the lack of sleep caused by the lurgy affected me 👍

Amazing difference Bill, much nicer. Rufus is getting plumper I think😻😻. Get well soon and short vids in the meantime if needs be. 😺

If that's the same Rufus, or its mate? I'm not sure, but there's certainly more than one Rufus at Sprey Point... All better now though, and 'normal' vids resume tomorrow👍👍👍

Hi Bill, great video as always. There is a massive difference between your voice then and now. Hope that you are feeling a lot better now. See you tomorrow mate. 👍👍👍

You certainly pass the test mate , mind I couldn’t do that with a full set , I’d be trying to say Dis whatever for a month Nothing worse than a rough night sleep, I had one after my day with the grand kids
@BillsPhoneTeignmouth20 күн бұрын
Yep, you don't realise how much you need your sleep, until you don't get it lol 👍👍👍

I think you'll find Rufus prefers his food on the ground or a firm surface. They are not known for clinging to hanging feeders although they will momentarily cling and attempt to disturb food onto the ground.
@BillsPhoneTeignmouth20 күн бұрын
Cheers Richard, I usually do both. I show the food in the feeder as its a nice visual. The food on the ground though is harder to see, but yes, he does seem to like knocking food off of the feeder - Even if there is already an equal amount on the ground 👍👍👍

Hi Bill hope you're well on the road to recovery. A very pleasant virtual summer walk along the sea wall, a a bright December day bonus walk. Considering we're in the summer season, it does seem rather quiet in Teignmouth. Best wishes stay safe Jon and Karen
@BillsPhoneTeignmouth20 күн бұрын
Thanks Jon - Yes, quite quiet this year really... But we still haven't really had much of a summer... 👍👍👍

We are loving your videos. Really helpful at getting to know the area as moving there in a few weeks. We have some questions for you. What are the workmen doing at Holcombe Beach? How do you get to the library from town ? Have seen a couple of old signs and Facebook posts about 'save Holcombe Beach' and potential developments at Manor Farm. Any info ? We know you are the font of all knowledge! Thank you 🙂

Hi Kirstie - Glad you are enjoying joining me on my daily walks 👍 Workmen at Holcombe beach? Nothing at the moment I don't think - If you are referring to this video, that part was in 2023, over 9 months ago, when they were repairing the seawall - Library from town? Just head westerly direction, (towards the docks and Polly steps end of town) and stay on the main route / drag - You will pass Pellow Arcade (Pass the Hung Le Chinese then you've gone too far!) then walk up through Pellow Arcade, under the road / underpass / subway & turn left. The library is about 100 yards up on your right - Save the beach? We saved it! Network rail were going to concrete all over Brunels Seawall, (Like Dawlish) and close the entire area off to the public for 8 to 10 years! They are no going to change the cliffs instead! If you read this article on my site, towards the bottom, it gets explained docs.billsphoneteignmouth.com/TeignmouthSeaWall.pdf 👍 Enjoy Teignmouth when you get here, and be sure to say 'Hi' 👍

@@BillsPhoneTeignmouth thank you so much for info. That's very helpful. We were down at Holcombe Beach yesterday and workmen were doing work to the cliff. So this must be to secure the cliff face as you have said. So pleased we are not going to lose the beach! We love it. On another matter, do you know anything about potential future housing developments in Holcombe Village? I have seen a lot of old Facebook posts about these but no outcomes mentioned. Another concern for our favourite local detective aka you!
@BillsPhoneTeignmouth19 күн бұрын
Ahh, OK. Well I'm down that way tomorrow, I shall have to look out for them - I haven't been all the way along the wall for about a week! Unfortunately, Holcombe village ISN'T one of my 'Specialized Subjects' 😂 I'm afraid I really haven't been keeping abreast of any housing developments up that way - Sorry 👍👍👍

mayflower steam tour on weekend coming
@BillsPhoneTeignmouth20 күн бұрын
I think that was last weekend. They said that was the final visit for the Mayflower this year - I believe the 30th, 31st & the 1st are all the Midland Pullman this time 👍

I think that was a female robin, as it had no blue stripe, maybe Rufus' missus?
@BillsPhoneTeignmouth20 күн бұрын
Very possibly. I know for a fact that there is more than one 'Rufus' up there - I just assume its the same one that appears to be waiting for me 👍
