I've passed those streets several times and it seems like you were also close to a latino community (a few blocks away). The problem with Chicago is how everyone has just discriminated themselves from everyone and discriminating others at the same time. The Caucasian people live up North while the African Americans and us Latinos have just stayed in the south. When someone new arrives, they get the feeling that theyre not wanted.
