I love the way the De La Salle Christian Brothers turned back time by returning the original pre-war Saint La Salle Hall design of Tomas Mapua. I love looking at the iconic grand neo-classic stately structure preserved and immortalized for all architectural and design students to study and marvel at.

I've always wanted to be one of those beautiful De La Sallian people, the esteem of being associated with the status of the school. Originally walang steel fence protecting our pre-war LS Bldg. All white stately looking facade with a huge green lawn. The old DLS campus had the biggest football field with lots of trees providing shade to pre-war Lasallites. The Taft Avenue area had huge trees that lined up the street. The area was a purely residential area of wealthy Manilenos. The Aboitiz, Ayala, Zobel, Ortigas, Araneta, and Cojuangco families and all the well heeled families of Manila resided nearby pre-war De La Salle - Taft.

Tomas Mapua's Saint La Salle Hall is the only Philippine structure featured in the book 1001 Buildings You Must See Before You Die: The World’s Architectural Masterpieces published by Quintessence Editions Ltd. in 2007. St. La Salle Hall is an H-shaped four-story structure built in neoclassical style in the Philippines. It was built from 1920 to 1924 to serve as the new campus of De La Salle College (now De La Salle University) due to the lack of space of the previous campus in Paco, Manila, and to accommodate its increasing student population. It served as the grade school and high school building back when the college was still offering those levels. Originally built as a three-story structure, a fourth level was added in the 1990s for the residence of the De La Salle Brothers. The ground floor houses the College of Business. Meanwhile, the second floor of the Saint La Salle Hall houses the beautiful Chapel of the Most Blessed Sacrament. The C-shaped driveway in front of the Saint La Salle Hall along Taft Avenue. was the former private security entrance and exit area of several sons of past Presidents of the Philippines.

One thing I like taft along dlsu there are guards that would assist the crossing of their students. This is just one of the perks .

75% of the student population of all Lasallian schools are millionaires. 25% of the student population are financially handicapped who are provided with thousands of 100% tuition-free academic scholarships annually financed by the Lasallian alumni, Lasallian owned corporations along with the remaining 75% of the Lasallian - millionaire student population who provide thousands of laptops, free daily meals and free accommodations. Hay I miss that area! Im from CSB ID 105, dunno but first thing that i remebered was the baha and the overpriced charge of the pedicabs which was P30.00 sometimes P60.00 from CSB main to CSB Hotel 😂, this was way back 2005

Magagaling prof ko si DAR PEREZ sa lassale nagaral teacher namin sa philosophy napakalalim at napakahusay hanga hanga ako sa teaching approach niya saamen. Kung irerate ko ang teachings niya pang HARVARD tlga. Totoo alam ko ang flow ng teachings at kaisipan ng university objective and teaching rulings... anyway i am from B.U who came first of all education on PHIL.
