Walking Tour Of Ajaccio Cruise Port - Corsica, France On the Celebrity Edge

Day 22 of our 322 Day Land & Sea Journey around the world.
We explored Ajaccio on foot. We visited Maison Bonaparte, Catedrale Santa Maria Assunta, Statue of Napoleon and his four brothers, Place d'Austerlitz & Napoleon's Cave & Monument, Plage (Beach) Trottel and Saint-Francois, and Citadelle d'Ajaccio.

This is an island we've wanted to visit during our times in the Med, so your vlog was interesting to see. The light and blue sky is just magnificent in this part of the Mediterranean. What time of year were you there? it didn't look too crowded or too hot.

Thank you for your comment. Corsica is sometimes confused with being an Italian island however, it is 100% French owned. Corsica is still commonly described as one of 22 régions of metropolitan France, its official status was changed in 1991 from region to collectivité territoriale à statut particulier (territorial collectivity with special status).
