Was the scenery on the whale boat any better than the scenery from the cruise ship? Did you see any whales on the ship around Iceland?

Great questions. We normally would not do a whale watch excursion $$$ because we can see whales from the ship and the views are amazing from the ship. However, we figured we were in Iceland so why not give it a try. We did see whales on the excursion. We can say we did whale watching in Iceland but probably wouldn't do it again because the return on $$$ wasn’t worth it for us.Thank you for your question and coming along on our journey around the world.

Michael, Hope the porta potties were to your satisfaction. That is a remarkable garden area, lots of colour and shape. So the rhubarb flower smells like rhubarb? You bluff as well as you do at poker.

Hi Claudio, I hate porta potties but they work in a pinch :) Ya, we really liked the garden. It was free and close to the ship. tip from a previous traveller & for those wondering. drop your bags and travel partner off at the terminal before going to park the car if driving. (500m walk from carpark 3 to terminal) then it is a 500m walk from check in to the doors to the ship. (so wear comfortable shoes, AND have a small bag/backpack for your essentials and paperwork. the rest sent to room will be there by 2pm)

Question: on deck 17 can you walk from the cabin rooms to guys burger joint or would you need to take stairs /elevator to get there?

Short answer: if you have a cabin on deck 17 you can not access Guys Burgers without taking an elevator or stairs to deck 16 or 18. You would need to take an elevator or stairs to deck 16 and would walk to the pool area and walk the stair up to deck 17 or walk past the pool area to the elevators and use the elevator to deck 17. If you go up to deck 18 from your cabin you will come out in the Serenity area from there you would walk towards the pool/lido deck and walk down the stairs to deck 17. We hope this helps. I crossed in December to Southampton. Was disappointed that the seas were so calm. Plan to take the westbound crossing next December. Hoping for more turbulent seas.
