Edgewood Plantation is a historic house in Charles City, Virginia, currently operating as a bed and breakfast. Built in 1849, the house saw significant Civil War history during 1862 when Confederate Gen. Jeb Stuart and troops used the house as a lookout while Union Gen. George McClellan was stationed at Berkley Plantation during the Peninsula Campain. The estate itself was once part of the ancestral home of the Harrison family, which produced a signer of the Declaration of Independence a two U.S. Presidents. The Old mill seen in the video was built in 1725 by signer Benjamin Harrison, and was once raided by Benedict Arnold in 1781. This video was shot during 3 different visits I made with my family during 2016 - 2019.
