Oh wow so heartbeats being recorded isn’t new then it’s been around this the 1800 century it’s impressive of Mr.Legar was able to live so long but still had a good healthy heart and that wrist thing is basically like heart monitor or recording that we use today to record our heartbeat and listening to them

It was recorded on tin foil for one, secondly they don't age well either. This could have sounded much worse if it wasn't 100% properly stored. Also, this is probably a recording of a recording.

Total the most great. Only the waves on the piece on paper. He couldn't know, that nowadays the scientsts make it through, to give his voice into the audio format. Great!!

Since this was posted 10 years ago there, audio processing plugins have been developed that can correct pronounced wow and flutter such as often afflicts old recordings in analog mediums. It would be interesting to hear what they could do for these examples.

some guy named Sam Hall found the actual song that was in the "song at a distance" thing. It's the opera "Zampa". I agree with Sam Hall that this really is Zampa because I can actually make out the words: Douce [here : "Jeune"] jouvencelle Viens sur ta nacelle Traverse les flots Tandis qu'elle vole Que ta Barcarole Frappe les échos

The recording is actually very clear for a recording from the 1860s. wow! this is very fascinating! considering this person lived in the 1700s!
