At 3:53, we stated the black population of Jacksonville is 30%. In fact, according to ProPublica’s latest methodology, it’s 29.4%. And at 5:26, we state there were 387 tickets given for walking in the roadway where sidewalks are provided. That number should be updated to 386.

trey Eason never been caught, who hasn't broken laws. I simply said not to complain about harassment when they legitimately got caught. Their mindset is that the law doesnt apply cause they think it's stupid, so they blatantly break it right in front of the cops and then whine and claim racism, when you literally make them do their job, inflating the statistics against your group. Making it a community mindset issue even more than a bad apple cop problem. Be smart when breaking a law.

Hes stopping them for jaywalking because that's the best way to catch drug dealers? Why is that so hard to understand. Why is it so controversial to admit that a majority of drug dealers are black and live in the hood? So they do "random" stops in the areas of town notorious for drug dealing, and a majority of the people in those areas are black. Its common sense, yet people take that as some shining example of how horribly racist American police are. They're just trying to prevent crime before it happens. They wouldnt have to be so aggressive if America didnt have some of the highest rates of crime in the first world.

I find it totally horrible that ANYONE is detained for jaywalking - if you want to give them a ticket - give them a ticket - but the officer should be able to prove that it’s true - as in video evidence or a confession - but if the infrastructure isn’t there - the law should reflect that... you can’t obey the law if lawmakers won’t keep up their end of the bargain.... And honestly - every one of those police officers that jaywalked on the video should get a fine - the evidence is clear....
@tinyb697 жыл бұрын
If the officers filmed, have written any tickets for jaywalking, they should be given unpaid disciplinary leave. If they're caught again, they should be fired. If they can't abide by the laws that they are hired to uphold, they have no business being employed in that position. Or more simply put, lead by example.
@sabinahertzum97287 жыл бұрын
Emmanyuel Li Fong - like I said - I don’t think ANYONE should get detained.... white, black, green or blue.... people are people and jaywalking is SUCH a minor concern that it shouldn’t be considered a police matter until or unless it endangers people.... I have never seen or even heard of anyone I know getting picked up by the police for jaywalking.... and unless someone is actively endangering anyone ( like walking in the middle of a busy street or crossing the street right in front of a car, l) it should be a non issue.... crossing the street on foot while red - if there are no cars around - that shouldt be illegal .... They should get the law fixed and try to keep in mind what’s important here.... it’s not important to ‘teach by fear’ - it’s important to keep people safe - but if no one is in danger then the issue is mute....
