To everyone concerned about the lack of feathers, it should be noted that they did eventually update some of the dinosaurs in the show and added feathers to them. if you don't believe me, the Facebook and Twitter pages (which are linked in the video description) include images of the updated dinos.

I don't know why everyone is so concerned about the feathers. Like Jack Horner actually told me, "A feathery raptor, though accurate...looks too cute."

Are velociraptor and utahraptor the same or they are just related?

+OtterPops123 ..... What do you think? literally more than 3 times Velociraptor's size, I'd say it is the same *sarcastically claps* jk, but seriously, have some common sense, of course their not the same, they are both Dromaeosaurs tho. So they are just related

+OtterPops123 same family of dino's, utahraptor was much larger than the velociaraptor, lived on a different contenent and if memory serves is a much younger species than velociaraptors. The common mix up between the two is Jurassic park where the people making it used Utah's size and what they thought it looked like at the time and gave it Velociraptors name

S CW I really don't get the feather idea they found a few raptors with feathers near them then suddenly all of them have it? I can see velociraptors due to the asian climate by wasn't the earth much hotter 65 million years ago?

ResidentEvil742 I'm not sure what you mean by "raptors" but when most people say that word they are invoking a clade ( Dromaeosaurids ) that is defined by the presence of feathers, among other synapomorphies. Were there some raptor-looking dinosaurs somewhere at some point that didn't have feathers? I have no idea, I'm no expert at all. The dinosaur this video purports to depict though definitely had feathers. I don't know why people are disappointed by that lol, it would have ripped you to shreds with that wicked claw all the same.

usually in nature if one animal has a trait, then most other animals related to them have that trait, and also feathers do a actually help a lot, wings can be used for turning while running/prey restraint or even climbing trees in some cases, also balance while running.
