Great video once again Clarky. It's horrible to seen old chapel's and churches decaying but brand new mosques getting built all over the place. The best thing about a cemetery is the peace. I always go and pay respects on Rememberance Sunday to our lost soldiers. The one thing that sticks in my head is what General Patton said after the war "We defeated the wrong enemy". PS can't wait to see you on Countdown 😂

Great job. Just a tragedy that so many of these Victorian cemeteries have lost their buildings as they are an important part of the history and character. Not the same without them. The chapel in this video looks beyond saving unfortunately, like many others. Why oh why do we trash our history in this way? By the way, you should check out Undercliffe Cemetery in Bradford. Absolutely amazing site and would make a great TUC video if you feel like risking a trip to the wrong side of the Pennines! Cheers again.

Those metal wall plates are wall ties, there's a threaded rod that connects them together to hold walls from caving in, you'll find they run under floor boards from one outside wall to another, giving stability to a old property, great video once again 👍

Another great one Clarky. I live just around the corner from this but have never visited despite knowing it was there. Might have a walk round it myself as it looks so peaceful. It's good when we notice 'coincidences' that seem to guide us. I'm not religious but I AM very spiritual and tend to listen to what the universe tells me. It seems that you do too. As others have said, your videos are very respectful and I can feel your genuine emotion. Nice one m8.

The things on the wall are ties. There is a long metal bar going through the wall with a plate at each end. The bolts at each end are tightened and it stops the wall bowing out. The chapels are not churches. There were three at Tyldesley, one for Church of England, one for Catholics and one for non-conformists (Methodists, Unitarians, Presbyterians etc.)
