I'm fascinated by apes as well. Orangutans are my favorite, bonobos are very sweet apes as well. Orangutans are not violent. But they are always hungry

@wejangan9160 this is why they call them the people of the trees. VERY COOL. orangutans are very much like us. I think they almost could be domesticated. Or put in sanctuaries, the wild is very tough on them. And I think that they are the greatest animal, out of any in the world. The babies are so precious, they're so much like humans babies almost. Just very precious animal.

It is so sad what man does to the animals he was supposed to watch over, and what he does to his fellow human being. No wonder God is going to judge this world. Thank you for showcase on the Orang Utan, citizen of the forest.

Greed ruins everything. I love those animals. It makes me sad because of the deforestation. This kind of thing is happening all over the world. Animals have to suffer. Because of the rich. I would like to see these animals up close. I have always liked them. They are so intelligent. It is like they are people. Good people.

Forever is a really really long time. Those burnt forests are not gone forever, since they'll grow back once the humans are gone, and they will be gone at some point. We just have no idea how long that will be.

National Geography have also ignored Camp Leaky/Birute Galdikas for decades. They only write/produce/promote things about Goodall/Fossey. The only thing they did about her was a kids book in trillogy about the Trimates.

Camp Leaky orangutans are too humanized so they don't avoid humans and tend to return to their former caregivers compared to the other orangutans in other sanctuaries who we can say are more wild than those in Camp Leaky. Well, I just hope these humanized orangutans will be protected still in the future when Dr. G passes away.

So this is not a one-way simple situation. These animals are pest for the locals. Can we blame the locals? We are the one forcing them into the global economy.
@armcollector66603 жыл бұрын
Exactly they were here long before us and what do they expect when they keep taken their habitat away... We need to do better and make a change for all of us and be to where we all happy ( bc I know we can) and as of palm oil we didn't always have it so we don't need it so just hope their is a change soon for all of us!!

Hey people... all 9 billion faces. Anyone feel like everyone ought to try and save the world? Like what if every person, for one day, on the and day dedicated that one day to save the world. Individually, you'd feel like you'd fail because how much of a difference could 1 person make? But if 9 billion did you'd feel like change would be inevitable and guaranteed.
