You have to be tougher than what the world throws at you. When you're bleeding, broken and your friends are dying around you. The world doesn't care. The world has never shed one tear for any one individual. You shed your own tears. Those are the tears that leave your mark in life.

People don't have to be a fan of Alabama to admire this guy. I'm really going to miss him on the sidelines the lesson he taught his players of mental toughness an accountability are worth more than 3 million dollars that can disappear the lessons he's talking here last a lifetime.

Everything coach Saban said, of course, is true. This man thinks a lot about things, in a practical way. That's what competition will do for you. You can't live a fantasy life, because the competition will hand your head back to you. So coach Saban has obviously thought things through, in the undoubtely hyper-competitive environment of D1 football, and he is absolutely right. There is only one way to success, and that's reaching it. If you aren't successful, then you haven't gone about it the right way. Because success is attainable.

Yes, with humility and knowing God. Don't discern in the flesh. Courage is a spiritual thing. The focus in the soul (mind, will & emotions) is the director over hard training and therefore a big factor in self- discipline. My hat comes off to Coach. He is a master with this.

This is very basic and fundamental of life. The difference between whinging and excuses and standing up to life’s challenges. Today’s culture and education system teaches taking shortcuts and whinging. Blame all failures on unfairness and inequalities. Life if filled with cruel realities, fair and unfair, rights and wrongs, equality and inequalities, moral and immoral…. THAT’S LIFE. It’s those who can rise above life’s travails and rewards with character, they’re the difference. The are the rare individuals who we should applaud and those who cry and whines of life’s challenges are weak. This is the scourge of our culture, society and education system.

Love this! As a therapist, I teach this all the time. You've got to learn to love the process. The process is really about living in the moment. This moment right here is all you really have control over. And, what you focus on, you magnify. So, it's important to stay focused on the process because whenever you focus on anything else, such as the future or the past, you're actually reliquishing control of your life. Focusing too much on the future causes anxiety. Focusing too much on the past causes depression. Magnify the moment! Love the process, and finish the play. ThanX for the motivation!!!

A man who approaches every decision through the process, of being the best man he can be through each step of the way, has done his best. The outcome is not as important. People hear that and think it's football talk - it's not. You can live with doing your best and coming up short. That's life. A man should not live with doing less than his best and coming up short. That's You. Roll Tide Forever.

He asks his players to endure based on...? This is NOT hate. The difference in intelligence between one person to the next is how long it takes them to understand information. Therefore, it takes mental toughness to be able to continue to learn at a high level. So I say Dr. Mueller, why is it you can enjoy a nice steak? Maybe its because you put in the work to learn difficult information, and became a doctor to provide for you and your family. I wouldn’t be so down on the words that define what you live by.
@drbonesshow1
@drbonesshow1 Жыл бұрын
@@inf0rmalm0rality54 The difference you point out is actually just one of several concerning human intelligence. Perhaps if you take time away from your steak you will be able to ponder what they might be. Sort of like a Many-Worlds interpretation of the Universe first postulated by physicist Hugh Everett III (1930-1982) who as his son would say: ate, smoked and drank as he pleased and then one day he just suddenly and quickly died of a heart attack. My reference to the steak was a humorous ploy at its toughness as few would enjoy a tough steak.

You can't outsmart sickness and misfortune. Your IQ doesn't exempt you from hard time. You're gonna have to be tough enough to keep being smart through the inevitability of difficult situations and there's no way around that if you want to be successful. @@drbonesshow1 Well, Dr. Mueller, that is just plain unfair. One might say that because your original comment lacks any logical reasoning and, thus, makes for a completely senseless analogy, suggests that not only are you almost certainly not a doctor of [any] discipline whatsoever(let alone philosophy), but you most likely haven't completed any sort of post secondary education at all. But, then again, maybe you are a doctor. I wouldn't assume anything of you based on a few missed commas and a couple of unbecoming statements, so don't assume anything of me by my name. Play nice, big guy.

Nick Saban may look or sound like a used car salesman these days, but he earned his stripes a long time ago as a football mind. Anytime you see a guy the size of a safety playing in the box on defense, that was Saban's idea as DC of Belichick's Browns in the 90s. It fits perfectly in the pass-happy finesse game that is today's NFL. Everything is Cover 2, rushing fewer guys to have as many backs in pass coverage. Saban had a plan for that long before it became the norm.

The tragedy of the loss of an innocent life haunts us all. But, given the information that has been shared about this case, too many people want to make the Alabama basketball player, the program, and the University all guilty of a crime that they did not commit. The evidence as reported clearly shows that Brandon was returning the gun to its owner upon request, as the owner had concealed the gun in Brandon's vehicle because he knew that he could not carry it into the night club that he was entering. The facts show that Brandon was elsewhere eating dinner when he received a text from the owner asking him to return with the gun. Brandon's text response was that he would return after his dinner plans were over. Upon returning Brandon parked his vehicle and the owner of the gun retrieved the gun. Not once was there ever a discussion, plan or agreement that the gun would be used in any activity whatsoever. Brandon did not aid or abet in a crime because he returned the gun to the owner. The claims of him being a part of far reaching and appear to be an attack on him and Alabama at-large because of a perceived privilege. If Brandon is guilty, why not the gun manufacturer? Why not the producer of the bullets? Why not the very states of the United States who lean on the second amendment as the reason why everyone has the right to bear arms. Please re-read the second amendment, the very first thing it says is, "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free state,..." It is for this purpose as to why a citizen should have the right to keep and bear arms. The intent of the amendment was not to allow citizens to keep and bear arms for individual reasons including personal protection. But we want to continue to live a lie through the constitution! If you want to know the intent of the "Founding Fathers" read the letter written to King George as they explained the reasoning behind the first ten amendments which are commonly called the Bill of Rights.

That would be like calling me a product of the University of Alabama just because I graduated from there. I am no such thing. I was whom I am before I ever attended that school.
