I don’t know if you’ll see this but worth a shot. I’m a new car owner and I read somewhere that the strips don’t last too long on their own and that you should screw them in. But it seems like that could do damage to the car by screwing them into it. Is there something I’m missing, like certain spots it should go? I can’t imagine screwing directly into the car itself is a good idea unless I’m misunderstanding

Did you had any problems with the FR remote control? Mine is not working like whenever I press the button A,B,C or D it never works...

Hey Brian, I found these lights to be really bright, if you have some clearance or a surface within a few centimeters of the lights, you would still get a great glow effect from the lights. So I would say it's better to point these down.

Do they turn off with the car or do I have to manually do that?

They turn off and on with the car. There is a override power button at the lighter plug, so you can turn off the whole system if you don't want them to automatically turn on when the car starts!
