His videos have that "we're watching a video today, class" feel to them. Love it.

Why the fuck do I find myself watching hours upon hours of this man framing houses....every 2 years. The 16 penny slam is usually the catalyst.

Larry Haun was the best... I wish I had an opportunity to work with this man, although I don't believe I could have kept up. I am glad this video series was made and kept alive on youtube.

I just received his book today. Even though I am a general contractor of 25 years I feel there is more I can learn from Larry Haun.

Those three stud partitions create a dead space that will not be able to be insulated later down the road. The two stud partitions/corner posts may not be quite as strong but they allow for insulation which is why they are usually preferred.

Is it right a framed house by the haun bros can be 20 per cent more than any other non haun house of the same design

It makes more sense to make the cripple 81” nail it completely to the King studs and put the header on it. For most codes the headers shown are undersized with the exception of the 4x12. Great knowledge from Larry, but many of the techniques have advanced as building science has improved.

as Larry would say ... "hey, life goes on". But yeah, I know what your saying. Some things he does make me cringe honestly. But, seriously a great guy, no one can question that.

I would love to give you the opportunity to understand about a mechanical device that I have invented that is by far the strongest on the market #zrunner is the mechanical device that is midline attachable made out of stainless steel and it has all of the configurations needed for SRT and DRT climbing scenarios.

6:10+12 =7ft10 (excluding 4” upper double plate and 2” bottom plate). How do you sheat this wall with 8ft sheet?
@djhago31233 жыл бұрын
It adds up to 8 ft 1 1/2 so it'll be an inch off the ground for slabs

Is this guy nuts? You never use cripples next to kings and only Jacks on headers or your bottom plate will plumb down and your top plate will square up. Sheesh.
