There’s something oddly serene about seeing a clip from an amazing movie saying “10 years ago” on it idk it just feels so weird
@Jeff4theRaid4 жыл бұрын
It was filmed with less chance of viewing popularity unlike those millions of funny minion clips, it was the same thing in a different time, unique and whatever, knowing it was filmed around the first time you fall into liking the film, makes you maybe feel like you can recall, what kind of person was I when I first watched this movie and thought it was cool, imagining a younger version of yourself enjoying a well made kids film with heart and thought put into it and seeing the same thing recorded around the same time, like finding an old memrobillia that you recall being fond of and feeling a bit of that past fondness yourself, it's that same feeling, but it's an old media file on a video sharing website that you didn't even probably look for, but its there and it reminds you of the good things you got to enjoy for the first time? Yeah IDRK myself, but that's how I see it, like those differing quality recorded videos of live showing of them past episode premier commercials, but now people look to other stuff, cause now you and the boys ain't about watching wall e, that's old shit and you've seen better since then, so why watch something that nobodys into anymore. And it's kinda weird cause it's not you and a bunch of people seeing 10 years ago, it's someone else who uploaded it for other people who watched it and thought this part was funny. Least that's my mixed interpretation. Loved the thought of chilling on an abandoned earth with all that futuristic stuff like wall e, even had a toy version I thought would come with a Lazer between the eyes, but now as an adult, we are all about worrying, as a kid, I wasn't so worried about being alone on a trash planet I could explore and meet a cool robot who knew what's up, I even know people now who still think like I used to legitimately until they think a bit more about it, but I would still like to see that movie for the first time. Sorry if I did something though to trigger, wall-2 or a remake will never replace my first experience with it, wish I could watch every movie as a kid, but I can stay as a kid as long as I remember how, first impressions matter everywhere, with songs, people, ideas, and idk, anything.

I always liked Captain. From his first scene it's established that he doesn't _like_ having nothing to do, he doesn't _want_ to be lazy, he just genuinely has nothing to do with himself. He craves real work to do, and he has a sense of wonder and curiosity, and he's kindhearted, even to a plant.

If WALL-E hadn’t shaken the Captain’s hand, the movie would have ended a lot differently...if it wasn’t for those small grains of dirt that WALL-E put on his hand, he wouldn’t have researched about Earth and wouldn’t want to return even if Eve found the plant, judging by his initial response at the prospect of going back. He would probably even have agreed with AUTO that the comfortable life they lead on the Axiom (the only life he’s ever known) was preferable to living a hard life, or maybe even dying, trying to recover and recolonize a ruined planet he never had any attachment to.

The first time I watched this movie as a kid, I didn't really think much of it. I was just "oh cool, the earth is filled with trash and there's a robot having a crush on another robot." But just now have I realized that this movie really has an awesome plot, some tiny details that you'd just skim over as a child, and really, even the graphics and sound design is very astounding, and this was over a decade old. Now, when I come to think about it, I haven't really watched this again since the first time I did (apart from some small clips), and the first thing I want to do right now is to watch the movie.

Are we so far gone that people have already forgotten the memes of old? People have been shitposting since before any of us were born, but I’ll stick with modern times instead of going back to Ancient Greece. I remember when Leeroy Jenkins was a hit around 2005 I think, and that was one of the first ones to break free from the internet sphere and garner some mainstream attention. Anyway what I’m getting at is that memes aren’t a recent thing, most people just don’t remember the old ones because they weren’t there for it. In 10 years no one is gonna remember any of the shit we’re laughing about today and it’ll make you question whether or not it even happened at all.

@classydays434 жыл бұрын
The worst part is, the Axiom was the one ship advertised as having a regenerative food buffet, because it was the ship for rich people. All the ships were sceduled to return in five years, but their plan to incinerate all the junk failed so badly that the CEO sent a message to all the autopilots to effectively take over and not return to earth. the Axiom may very well house the last of the human race - all the others died of starvation a long time ago. Also, Eve is such high tech compared to all the other robots not because her technology is 700 years advanced. Making the ships took so long that the technology advanced enough to have such varied advancements in the ship with no compatability issues. Determining Earth's sustainability was literally BnL's lowest priority, but the cleanup was their first. Pretty dark all things considered.

Fuck, I love this film. The story, the animation, the soundtrack, it's all just so gorgeous. It aged like the finest of wines. Heck, it even beats some films in the animation department that we're released in the last few years.

i would argue its better than almost all of the animated films of the past like three years, in fact i cant think of one that comes close

@@quazar7162 Very few animated films beat it in the animation department, that's for sure. In terms of story, it's spectacular and for a movie made in 2008, it's still relevant in every possible way.

A movie that's both extremely deep and simple all at once. Such perfection.
