The last panel. Is the plus nut bolt just being held by the foam and fabric? You put a big “pill shape” hole there, much bigger than the 1/4” bolt. Am I missing something?

Why do you use different types of wire loom - usually I see a braided loom, but sometimes its the split plastic style. I'm assuming you've found places where they work better, would like to learn from what you've found. Thanks for the great videos.

Another fantastic video! Thank you for sharing. Are the steel panels the NO CUT / DRILL zones?
@AVCRIG

Thanks! The areas we point out in the video are harden steel and are a DEFINITE no cut/drill zone.

In a previous video you put foam blocks on the wall to give room for the factory wire run on the drivers side. Does that stay in place with your wall installed? If so how are you getting proper space off of the wall from panel to panel

We have a new solution for that. We have an Aluminum bent part we use. We call it a “wall to ceiling support” it’s a section of aluminum bent to 115 degrees. We sell them but you can also have one made up locally. Check out our more recent new van prep (title card says new product) where we go over the install.

Matt, great video. Does the aluminum channel on passenger side also get off set 1" from the wall of the van like the driver's side? If so, does the wall panel just bend a bit to meet up with the wall of the van when screwed in?
@AVCRIG
@AVCRIG 2 жыл бұрын
That’s exactly right. It helps keep everything nice and straight and allows for wiring to pass through easy. On a Medium Roof van we set the AL channel tight to the passenger wall since the area over the door doesn’t get a panel.

Thanks for the video! Im planning on using your plans for my walls. Although, I want a baltic birch wood finish instead of carpet. Is it going to line up properly or all sections will be very apparent because of all the cuts? I feel the upholstery might be more forgiving because all the panels edges get fabric around them witch might serve as a buffer?

If you cut your walls with our paper patterns then you could try and line up the grain of each panel to reduce the separations. Since we always wrap, this isn’t a consideration with our pre cut kit. We prioritize reducing wasted material to keep cost down. You could try an “H” channel to hide the raw seams. This would give you the cleanest look. Check out Outwater plastics for sone options like that.

Can you provide a link/description of the 1/4-20 fasteners used to attach the two forward-most upper-wall panels? Thanks!

@@AVCRIG Do you think the 1" length would do the trick? I noticed the 1-1/2" came up when I clicked the link, but not sure if that was intentional. Thanks!

Do you use any furring strips on the walls or does everything just screw directly to the wall metal?
@AVCRIG
@AVCRIG 2 жыл бұрын
I’m the walls directly to metal. In the ceiling strips.

Does a 2018 ford transit cargo medium roof 250 have pre taped holes? I want to install either plywood or strap hooks up the side of van over insulation

Usually your videos are slow and precise so I can see alignment. Why did you go all glitchy and fast? very unpleasant to watch.

Does the wall to ceiling support provide enough of a gap for the factory wiring that runs along the drivers side? Or are the wall panels pressing into the wires?
@AVCRIG
@AVCRIG 2 жыл бұрын
That’s exactly right. The W2C gaps the harness and allows just enough room. Check out this other video we did on it. EASY DIY Solution | Wall to Ceiling Support kzbin.info/www/bejne/jZjQk5KZmZ1jes0

@@AVCRIG Thanks! In that case, I think the W2C support will solve a couple problems for us since we're trying to minimize furring strips.

@@AVCRIG One more question on this. It looks like in the very beginning of the video you can see the front upper panel on the drivers side is pushed out a bit because of the wiring harness, so it isn't totally flush with the big panel below it, at least in the very front. Now that I am finally installing my walls I'm running into that same issue. Have you found a solution for that or is it something you just deal with? Thanks!
