been fun touring through one of my favorite bands along with ya, belated welcome aboard the good ship Epica! "Cosign to Oblivion": a song about predatory lending practices. "Consign", slightly different. lotta reactors make that little slip, no big deal at all just creates a funny mental image in my mind :)

Hey i've just binge watched all your Epica reaction! Always fun to watch someone discovering this awesome band. One thing i like so much about them is how good they sound live and how they genuinely have fun and interact with each other. I HIGHLY recommend 'Sancta Terra' (Retrospect live) with a secret guest that i won't spoil but i know that you love. There's still many songs! 'Unleashed' (Retrospect live), 'The Essence of Silence', 'Design Your Universe'

It's funny that often American people misread the word in the title as "cosign", instead of the correct "consign". In "cosign" the stress is on the first syllable, while in "consign" the stress is on the second syllable. This makes it very easy to hear the mistake, even if the "n" is not very clear itself. "Cosign" is to provide a co-signature to something, such as in loans. "Consign" is to send something away (as in "consignment"), or hand something off to the care of someone else. In fact, the phrase "consign to oblivion" is an established part of the English language. I heard a BBC journalist use it once, even.
