This video is part 2 of 8 of the Wallacei X video tutorial series. The tutorial series goes through all the features of Wallacei X, a grasshopper component within the plugin Wallacei.
This tutorial introduces Wallacei X, the inputs and outputs of the component, and how to set up the design problem for running the evolutionary simulation.
Wallacei X is the primary component of the Wallacei platform. Through Wallacei X, users are able to run an evolutionary algorithm, analyse the results, run selection methods, export phenotypes, access the online forum and refer to the primer, all within one user interface.
Wallacei is an evolutionary and analytic engine for Grasshopper3D.

If I understand the latest update (2.5) correctly, users no longer have to worry about disabling irrelevant components, as the evolutionary solver now only runs the connected parts. Please, correct me if I'm wrong.

Yes, and please make sure to download the latest release. The latest release is 2.6
