What always surprises me is these holders in wallets for Air Tags. Great if you drop it but if someone ever stole it they'd just dump the Air Tag

Great review as always. The question to ask is: Do people prefer these metal card holders or leather wallets? I am going to guess the majority leans towards a good quality full grain leather wallet.

Always a solid review. Brian likely arrived at the conclusion it was a bit 'over engineered' and started on a more user friendly (and less production heavy) design. Stamp molding multiple parts in alloy, adding screws then latex bands makes production a beast on something meant to be simple. The $105 price tag is likely just to recover investment on the machinery. My impression on the design is pretty much the same as all plastic and metal wallets. Hold them in your palm then imagine shaking hands with a friend. *shrugs Thanks Mark! 🥃

@@nutricepssbyhimanshu It's a remark regarding ergonomics, or more appropriately stated 'comfort and usefulness.' Leather is tannen enriched flesh and can possess great longevity when treated so. When a person owns a premium vegetable tanned leather wallet and has cared for it many years, holding it in the hand should be as comfortable as shaking hands with a friend. Well, that's the way I design and craft them anyway. Thin plastic cards, linen and coin is just friendlier wrapped in flesh. Cheers! 🍺

I own the v3 with a money clip and a carbon fiber insert for one card on the back. My personal opinion is the money clip and I fold my cash in halves not thirds or fourths and it’s perfect. With the clip the bands are not a problem and it does not add much bulk at all. Great wallet

Metal/aluminum wallets are not only ugly, but also wieldly. Leather is the only way to go.

I've had several minimal wallets and I know now the difference between getting cards in and getting them out easily. This looks like it would be a task to get cards out of this. Also, at $100? Hard pass. Not surprised they stopped making these.

Dlc out performs any metal finish. But there are multiple types of dlc. Some better than others.

I just received my Mitchell Money Clip Wallet (Bison leather - emerald green) and there is no better wallet TBH.

I was just about to say it's already time for version 4. Oh well. The wallet seems almost great, but the more you dig into it... The 4 bands are an obvious issue. Also I under about they being cut buy the sides or the back plate. Also it looks like keys may easily get entangled in a pocket. I like the open backside for an ID or tap option. I think the strong card retention is well done and maybe an improvement over some other brands. But $105. That gives the chinese knock offs a lot of room to sell their own for $35. I hope they can make a version 4. This is so close.
