This is the amount of cards these sets should have anyway. Never understood why they went from 130 on average up until about 2017/18 (Team Up being the first set that had more than any previous one) and then they just ballooned up ever since while releasing 1-2 more sets on average per year. It’s just too too many. Personally I would prefer they have a set every 2.5-3 months and just brought the sets down to about 120 or so TOTAL. That would keep it fresh/frequent while being “more” affordable!

Surging spark preorders are already up and we haven't even had stellar crown yet. And now people are talking about future sets and collections already. I love pokemon cards but at some point somethings gotta give with all the sets. Collectors like to partake of all the sets but with so many getting released the monetary aspect starts to really play too big of a role.

I just came back to Pokemon TCG with 151 Japanese set, its as close as it gets to the old pokemons. The obvious is the amount of card sets releases but I stick to graded slabs and unique cards in sets I like. I no longer chase after master sets, not in the current state of the card game with multiple releases every other month, its just crazy.

How am I supposed to be excited about new releases when they drop 3 (or 2.5 sets) in 3 moths: Shrouded Fable on August 2, Stellar Crown on September 13, and now Surging Sparks on November 8?! I think The Pokemon Company should switch to marketing the sets better instead of just pushing them one after another, hoping that one of them generates enough hype and, eventually, revenue. Also, the new UPCs look meh. I absolutely loved the 151 UPC and enjoyed the Sword&Shield one because of great promos. The new ones look like they won't hold much future value, collector-wise.

On the Terapagos UPC page on the pokemon center website they have a photo of all the packs that will be in there and also a list of the promos (lapras ex, terapagos ex, cinderace ex) so they will likely be the full art rainbow cards that have been cut from Stellar Crown. The pack choice in the Greninja UPC looks a bit stronger than the Terapagos one. Also feel like the Greninja one will be exclusive to certain stores like the Arceus one from a couple years back.

Stellar miracle was fun to rip. These new gold/rainbow cards are SIIIICK IRL. I pulled the Terapagos gold rainbow, its absolutely off the hook!!! The rainbow border cards in general are great, I hope the effect is just as good in English. I really want that SAR Terapagos. It must be incredible IRL.
