Like the man before me said, "great lesson, man!" I swear, I'm learning more from you in 15 minutes than I've learned from these other KZbin teachers I've been watching for 2 years. Thank's for your lessons and the time you put into them. You're a natural teacher my friend.

I love your videos! I’ve only watched them while I’m “working” tho and never at home with my guitar.. But they definitely make me feel like “the next step” i need to take is so possible and it makes me feel like playing more, and that overcoming my block is not only possible but fun!! So well explained. Thank you!

Maaan that last tip totally blew my mind. I do not play the guitar but the violin and I am a singer. When I sing, it's absolutely no problem to get that blues feeling into my voice but with my violin it's always like "How do I get that cool blues rhythm into my fingers? Why does it sound like a child's song though I am playing the right pentatonic, blue notes etc.?" It's just the thing to make the clever breaks!! thxxxx

This was incredibly well delivered, I caught myself smiling at the "I'm playing the blues" part, because it was a very fun and simple way to explain phrasing in solos!

You are a remarkable teacher !!! I've been learning from your creative approach. It's always blow me away when you think you know it all or good enough to play on stage, then you go to a dive bar. You check out the band , the first set your like I can do that, then as the night goes, the guitar play leaves the planet and you want to quit play guitar because your not worthy enough . I toldly respect the working musician.!!! That's why you call it the blues.

Started watching your videos a short time ago and wow I am blown away you are my number one guitar teacher and life guru here on KZbin. I am totally down with what you were saying you're just talking my language man. I like that style of playing behind the beat I was doing that and didn't know they had a name for it. Hey David ...The five tips are very helpful in my journey...especially tip #5 . I seem to get caught up in the quick licks ..jamming as many licks that I can in each bar or measure...My fingers would take over and everything just sounded generic.... Adding tip#5 kinda got me back in to why I picked up the guitar in the first place...The pain in my HEART...I can feel it. Thanks
