*************************************************
Team PURE ELEVATION located multiple bugling bulls on the morning hunt, but they are out of water needing to refill their tanks ASAP. If they can find a fresh spring closeby, they can go after a bugle. If not, it's a long hike to the bottom to fill up.
Mark and Jeff Skousen have a bull located, and he's moving in toward a wallow. Mark decides to adapt a TEAM ELK101 tactic and wait at the wallow to see if the bull will show up, and things are looking good.
And speaking of TEAM ELK101, there is action on the afternoon waterhole, and Corey and Donnie employ an old reliable tactic to get a bull fired up and bugling.
You can almost feel the tension in the air, as all 4 of the teams are set up and ready for success...
Join us for the Evening Hunts of Day 3!

Even though there is no success in this one. I still had a blast watching this episode. My 9 year old daughter watches every episode with me, and she was just asking questions the whole time, trying to learn more about what elk hunting is all about. I love that these videos can get her curiosity and interests up for the crazy sport of elk hunting. Looks like I will be getting another fellow hunter sometime in the near future. Definitely a proud dad moment.

Finding Elk at night and game planning for the next morning is such a brilliant idea. The Elk often seem way more responsive to bugles at night than during the day. It is more difficult to see them at night but at least you can pinpoint a general area and then study your onX maps.
