Given how unprepared K. Rool was for the mission if the Blast-o-Magic failed, given that two bosses are reused and one is a cardboard cutout, I wouldn't be surprised if he thought he could fool the Kongs with fake walls.

I love doing these glitches. My favorite one is the one where you clip into DK isle, where you can find K. Rool's Jet. Or the one where you clip into the last key room after hideout helm so you don't have to get the rare coin or N coin

Egox Would have loved to know about these clips. To this day I have not beaten DK 64 because of having to beat the original Donkey Kong for that damn coin. Which is a shame cause I heard the fight against King K. Rool is pretty neat.

Shadowbloodx I've since gotten the coins, but there's a KZbin video that I watched about clipping through the coin door. And the K. Rool fight is fun for some kongs, although it's a little to long imo (good music and premise though)

@@chrispy3051 the arcades were easy for me but what bugged me of this game is i couldnt find the second coin and it was at crankys i was so angry it took me a year to find out and it was right in front of me but luckily the arcade game was easy and not just that if you dont have enough banana medals you have to find them so i was more angry about that but the whole game is good except for the part where you need to find all banana medals for cranky

Also, you can glitch into the fairy island as Chunky. If you use the fast swim towards the island from the front, he should slide off the land and swim forward. If done in the correct location, he'll swim through the island, putting him underneath it.. Swim up to the center of the island and jump towards the entrance to enter the Fairy Isle. Funnily enough, Chunky will be too big to use the exit normally once inside. However, using a properly-angled sliding crouch can get you back out through the exit.

My first glitch in the game was clipping through the wall in the Gloomy Galleon world where the Troff N Scoff portrait used to be. It was super easy to just walk through the world into the sky!

If anything, kick-jumping is intentional. It's been a staple of DKC for ages. Sidenote: I discovered the Hunky Chunky glitch as a kid, dumbly proud of that. I did a long jump at the shell thing's entrance in an attempt to enter it and fell through into the rest of the stage.

That "zip up" is known as a telegrab. Where you are located on the Y axis after a ledge grab is based on your stored positions (which are normally located where the actual kong is). However, if you have those stored positions located elsewhere, and you have a floor above you, you can warp upwards. Emulators are funky, so the specific reason why you got it is purely because of inaccurate emulation. However, it is technically a glitch ( See this for more: docs.google.com/document/d/182R06-NAg1ylPdtIYXm3enR35kjeLNa7E99aOVhi73U/edit?usp=drive_web ). This is also the very same reason why the steel kegs warped in the mill.

I used the Lanky Kong glitches quite a fair bit to enter levels that weren't unlocked yet. A lot of those mini-games were so annoying in DK64, the crocodile ones, and the maze ones, and of course the swimming ones too. It's always the water stages that are the worst.

I remember I did something similar in Gloomy Galleon with Diddy Kong. I was were one of the portal entrances for the boss battle (after I completed it of course) and had Diddy do a flip and he landed right where the arch for the portal would be. Then he could clip through the wall

I started replaying DK64 & accidentally stumbled upon a glitch in Crystal Caves, just today. In the room with the igloo-covered boulder for big Chunky; if you go in the barrel & get big, go to the top of the igloo & ground pound, then simultaneously "un-big", you can get the green bananas inside the igloo. Once I figured this out I did it to the point where I was stuck inside of the igloo & had to 'exit level' out 😅

You forgot to mention the best part about the skew glitch there’s no wall collision on the top and bottom of Kong’s so then there are no walls you can walk through all of them. Also you chose the second hardest Blocker(dude at beginning of level) to ground pound through the strat is to face away from him jump and move backwards as it gets you closer then hold Z to not be pushed back then rotate toward him and hit b till he hits the ground. If you want to see speedruns of this games there are a lot more glitches and they are pretty useful

This is just a theory, but I think the reason you zipped upwards in the beginning was because when you were trying to climb on the ledge and it was pushing you down you were storing all that momentum and height and when you finally jumped up and pulled yourself onto that ledge, it didn't know what to do with all of that stored energy so it zipped you upwards. Again that's just a theory cause I know those sorts of weird teleports esc. things happen in SM64 but they're coded differently obviously

Story Time! There was this garage sale so I pulled into it, there was a box, the box had Hey You Pikachu, a WWE game and DK64 with 2 game consoles. I asked the lady for the game and I was gonna give her $5 but she said she saw a ebay listing for all of this for $100 (how are we so sure she didnt make the listing) I offered her $20 for it a she declined so I left.
