Make sure you make templates out of this one. ie the ceiling boards. When you do another boxer, you've got them handy. You can also get into making pre-packed stuff for other people. A bit more cash in your pocket.

With reference to the above cab area . I took out headliner ( reupholstered that in luxury suede) . Reupholstered seats. Took out plastic overhead liner and carpeted that in beige . While all out I used 8mm acoustic thermo silver foam then carpetred over that. So much easier to remove to get in there . Also while all out check the ariel mount as these can leak

Insulated the same except used trimfix high heat adhesive for boards , no squeaking and stayed up . Also using 2 x maxxair in my roof with a marine fusion dab to go with my fusion sound system. I get it from Morland in Welshpool mate. No I don’t fit vapour barriers in van. You can’t stop the moisture so better to work to allow it to remove. So I work in low and high level venting and also venting within the walls. You can’t stop it so no point in trapping it in there 👍🏻
@MultiOutdoorman Жыл бұрын
Myself i would design a bed that wraps around the end of the washroom enclosure a little, and is perhaps foldable or telescopic ? Then say you had 2 single mattresses stacked on each other by day, and they slot alongside each other for sleeping ? Voila! Depends also on lengthways or transverse sleeping orientation doesn't it ? Plus if we are around 6 feet tall or more, then options are more limited. Its always a nail biter when you want max living space but don't want to sacrifice sleeping area.
@VanologyConversions Жыл бұрын
The lwb boxer/ducato is equivalent to a mwb on the sprinter and crafter so options are quite restricted. I can get a full length mattress in the boxer but if you wanted bigger I would have to fit flares 👍🏻

Our van has dark beige & cream & light beige, obviously some has been replaced in the past, it drives me mad, coz it all oddments

I actually like the beige, you just don’t see it that often in vans. I’m using above the headliner but I think any high traffic areas go dark 👍🏻

@VanologyConversions it will look great in Any colour & why do the same as everyone else, the new owner will love it. Mine needs ripping out & redoing, it needs the whole interior ripping out, so you may get a call when I have saved a bit. When the gas bottles I have are empty, i wont be able to get that size so, I will need to rearrange the van then.
