Just read an article on how exhausting it is for KZbinrs to constantly create content - and answer all comments, even supportive ones. Just want to say, take care of yourself, I dearly hope you are taking breaks and resting, and no need to respond to (or even read) my comments if you are tired!!

Every day that passes i am constantly reminded of Warren's untimely demise. Though I must confess that my own actions are the catalyst of my daily reminder. As if some flagellatory pennance for my own voyeuristic inclinations to hear the stories of others and reveling in the vicarious stimuli.

Fascinating! The Believers by Robert Arthur talks about the concept of how a concentration of belief can create from ex nihilo, the first story I heard that played with this concept is actually Warhammer 40k with the Chaos gods, though admittedly slightly different (not beliefs, but emotions and actions that created the Ruinous Powers). I wonder if the creators of Warhammer borrowed from this concept from a story like this from 1909....

Mr. Gordon's tale is worthy to jostle Lovecraft's, and I don't say that lightly. It also offers evidence for how much slightly old-fashioned touches such as referring to "Miss Montague" rather than by her Christian name can set a mood. What a pity that it should be so far out of fashion in my United States to employ such salutations and honorifics -- different levels of formality lend a nice variegated layer, an onion skin of degrees of familiarity, that society would only benefit from, once more people recognize the need to return to them.

Harley Warren! Duh, I was racking my brain for that one. Finally, The Picture in the House! It always gets overlooked for some reason but I love it's unique atmosphere and perspective of the old dude's hobby, this one's seriously disturbing, no paranormal stuff needed.

I love listening to these stories and I have no issue with ads at the beginning, but since I listen to these late at night, in bed, it's a real shocker to have an ad blaring at you in the middle of the the story and throughout. The volume of the ad is so much louder. To be honest, it ruins it for me. A warning would be good, at the beginning to let you know there's ads within.

@@HorrorBabble Thank you so much! My intention wasn't to offend you. I LOVE your stories. You know, I'd never heard about a mirror dimension. It's very strange but I actually filmed, by accident, an entity or angel coming out of my vanity mirror. The vanity is an antique slipper dresser from 1860 which belonged to my great-grandmother and has passed down to me. I had my laptop on record facing the doorway, with the vanity on the left of it against a wall. I left the room and shut the door. Within 3 seconds of my shutting the door, the laptop filmed an entity leaning forward out of the mirror. It was as tall as the ceiling, yet translucent and you can make out face and hair and clothing, yet see the woodwork through it. It turned towards the laptop , appears to have realized it was being filmed, and ducked back in. I know it sounds crazy but it's the clearest video of a full apparition I've ever seen. I've never uploaded it though, I know all the ghost shows would get a hold of it, because I know everyone will think it's a hoax. It looks too real to be convincing.
