Very nice review! I delivered my first same day crown with the Ceramic Crown material on the traditional 55S build plate, and it was still a game changer for us. The new crown kit build plate arrives next week, and I'm excited to see how that improves the dynamics of how we practice.

Super thorough and informative review. Thank you so much! I'm still in between purchasing this one or the SOL. There's a some price difference between them.

Deciding between the SprintRay Pro 55s and the Desktop Health Einstein. Which do you recommend? I'll mainly be doing Dentures and occasional crowns.

Would you recommend the sprintray 55s or the asiga max? Looking to print models, nightguards, single unit restorations and surgical guides. Thanks

We are still testing the Asiga. Both will preform well. The main difference is this: Sprintray is built for easy usage and speed. Designed for assistants to use. Asiga is built for open printing of almost any reason and have slower but still high quality prints. Also more complicated to use.

Hey wally, How significant is the XY resolution difference between the 55s and 95s? Our office has the 95s and I mostly print custom trays, nightguards, and things where that accuracy doesn't matter as much. However, if I were to get into making crowns (permanent and temporary) would you encourage grabbing the 55s as well for better margins? If it matters, we still scan with a medit i500 also. Thanks for all the awesome free content you put out :)

The difference is probably not worth an extra printer. Get the crown kit and see how you like the fits. The same crown kit will also work on the 55s so could always upgrade later

Great review, curious how much resins have evolved even since this review regarding stain repellent to drinks like coffee and wine?

Can you give more information about the All on T system? Did you have TrueAbutment custom design and make the MUAs with the minibar interface?And then you printed the screw on white copings and picked them up intaorally?
@wallyrenne
@wallyrenne Жыл бұрын
Good question. In this case we did guided surgery and teuabutment designed the custom mini bar multi units before surgery along with the proethetic. We printed it. Day of surgery we snap the plastic attachment on the custom Mini bar MUA. Scan final impressions as they double as a scanbody. The prosthetic is then picked up on those caps and then screwed in. The final prosthetic does not use the plastic caps.

Thank you for this awesome review !!!! Currently thinking about buying 55s or 95s - main indication will be aligner models, surgical guides, night guards and inlays/onlays/crowns - do you have a recommendation ? Keep up that awesome work you are doing for your Patients and for us, the 3D printing community !

I just set mine up and I'm trying to figure out which software people like to use for design. I found exocad was popular but I also came across blender for dental, a site that builds modules for blender to facilitate dental design. Can anyone in the comments give me suggestions on what they use? What do your colleagues use? Thanks!

Exocad and 3shape are the big players. Inlab is good too but less freedom and lacks features in my opinion. Medit is good also and free. But lacks even more features than inlab. If my office could give me any software today I’d pick exocad but 3shape is great too. For clarification, i’ve only used medit, inlab 22, and mesh mixer. I’ve been a digital dental technician for less than a year. It is possible I am still learning inlab and haven’t unlocked its full potential.

great review. one question: for a 55micron printer a cement gap of 140 seems big compared to 50 microns on my mill. Why this number? Thank you
@wallyrenne
@wallyrenne Жыл бұрын
Yea it has to do with sprintray printers and the way they have the resin profiles. Things fit tighter
