TLDR a walmart employee that I’m almost certain didn’t know me called me out by name on the outdoor loudspeaker for a ridiculous reason Last year I went to Walmart at 9pm. Rarely go there, needed something specific asap. It has two entrances, I walk to nearest entrance while scanning the parking lot for ops or something. Get 30 ft away from entrance, it’s all glass so I immediately see inside, it is under construction or something and I can’t get in. Instead of turning 90° towards the other entrance I keep walking forward to get to the sidewalk. Before I can even get to the sidewalk this lady comes on the outdoor loudspeaker “The Home and Garden entrance is closed, please go to the grocery entrance” I don’t think anything of it. No shit lady. Keep walking and get onto the sidewalk. Before I can even turn this lady comes on the loud speaker again, mind you everyone can hear this, “(My name Last name) please walk to the other entrance” This was not someone who knew me. Yet they knew I go by my middle name, not my first name, and they knew how to pronounce it correctly, which is rare. Even if this person did know me it is creepy as hell. It’s extremely unlikely she knew me, in addition if they recognized me who tf would tack on the last name like a parent does when their kid is in trouble? I was so shocked I didn’t even react till I was driving away. As I was walking to the other entrance I thought I was gonna get met by the police, or I was Walmart’s bajillionth customer, that would have made more sense than some random lady calling me out by name on a loud speaker just to tell me to do something only a blind person would need help with. I think the camera scanned my face and told her who I was. Maybe she just scanned my face with her eyeballs and knew who I was but fuck that regardless
