I think that has a lot to do with the coronavirus. It used to only take them about 10 minutes from the time I arrived to the time I was leaving. In the last month or so as more people are fearing the insides of stores and trying the pickup option, the times are increasing. My last pickup took about 20 minutes, and the one before that took 45 minutes.

As someone that works in OGP, I can tell you this. Majority of orders I have dispensed are orders people can get their fucking selves. I understand the COVID pandemic but people are just so god damn lazy to not get their shit and not only that, some are so lazy that they can’t pick up their orders and send a door dash. I understand if the people ordering are elderly, disabled etc. but from what I witness 90% of people that show up are between their teens and 40’s. And yet complain about waiting when they could have just got it themselves so they can save themselves and associates time.
@donnaq54393 жыл бұрын
The point is we don't want to expose ourselves to the inside of your store where there's hundreds of ppl at any given time. It's not being lazy. If you were Walgreens or something, I might walk in. But you're football size store and why would I put myself or others through unnecessary risk.
@TAQ-1273 жыл бұрын
@@donnaq5439 if I can be honest you have a higher chance of catching COVID through pickup, cus while we’re picking we’re still in the inside of the store with hundreds of people at whatever given time. And not only that the grocery’s pass through so many hands that if one person has it inside then it impacts the entire department. It’s lazy if majority of orders I’ve dispensed are small to where it’s just 2-6 totes when each tote isn’t halfway full. It’s simple, just get your things and leave.

Any advice on how to handle pickers leaving their full carts in the back, expecting dispensers to put it up, and causing traffic and just a horrible mess?
@mr.peenuttgriffen22644 жыл бұрын
Andrea Martinez leave it there for them until they run out of carts. Eventually someone has to do it, this way you show authority. This can only be done when you are ahead on orders and don’t risk getting behind. Also only if it’s misc items as well so that the products stay fresh. Or just complain about it to the manager.
@andreamartinez60594 жыл бұрын
@@mr.peenuttgriffen2264 Dispensers go ahead and put the carts up anyways feeling like they have to. I'm a picker and even the other pickers bad habit bothers me as well, a lot of us complain too often for this to be happening constantly. I think I'll try complaining to my supervisor, thanks.

Andrea Martinez in my store, the pickers simply pick and that’s all we do. When we are done we take the cart to the cooler, freezer, or staging room and the stagers are the ones responsible for the carts.
