The video game finds keep coming! This week we hit up some retail stores like GameStop and Walmart for some retail arbitrage and we found some amazing games for the collection and to resell! It wouldn't be a game hunting video without hitting up the thrift stores, Goodwill store, and Garage sales though. The retro game collection is overflowing which is a good thing!

Nice finds man! I just recently got a complete copy of Super Mario Sunshine for the Gamecube for 83 cents at a garage sale. Yes 83 cents. She had DVDs marked 6 for $5 and I saw Mario Sunshine sitting there, I asked if that was part of the deal. She said yeah. Sooo I had to buy 5 DVDs that I didn't want to score a scratch free Mario Sunshine.

We are on vacation and I’m collecting for the Wii U. I’ve noticed that Walmart’s have Wii U games still in some stores. I’ve noticed something a little odd about going to different Walmart stores. I got one Wii U game for $1 and and at a Walmart 20 minutes up the road that same game is $59? What the heck Walmart.

Oh shoot Retro fam been needing to tell someone about my garage sale haul this weekend. I’m a brand new collector 1 week in and in need of a Wii (and many others). Anyways had an odd FB ad for a moving sale and she said she had a Wii + 3 controller sets that she’d give me for $20. She also had games but made it sound like they weren’t part of the deal and couldn’t send pics because they were “in boxes” anyways I went for it cause I need a Wii and $20 bucks is a good deal either way. I get there and turns out it’s the electric blue Wii with four controller sets (blue, black, white x2), two pro controllers (Black & White) and 6 games including Mario Party 9. I was so stoked and she kept price at 20. Sorry for the paragraph haha just excited, thanks for the inspiration! Proud patreon member now 👊

I got grand tursimo for the ps2 for 2 bucks. It was a waste that game doesn't sell. And a portal 2 pc sealed which had sold listings for 70, it decreased pretty quick when everyone put it out. I'm still waiting on a sale

A good place to get discs resurfaced is your local library. They usually have to resurface games and they might even do it for free. can't hurt to ask. Good content, Keep it up.

The clearance games at Walmart are ridiculous right now!!! I have been finding Games between $1-$5 everywhere. Tons of switch games and 1st Party 3DS games for $5-$10. A lot of the time the price is not known till you scan them with the Walmart app and see how cheap they really are. I will say though Rick, I have yet to come across a game for $0.03. That is freaking awesome bro!!!

i did price markdowns in retail for 5 years, i think if it gets to 3 cents or 1 cents it is considered "Penny stock". It is not for customers to buy, its a way for us retail workers to determine what is no longer going to stay on the floor for sale. They are usually then boxed up and sent to pallet companies who auction them off by the pallet. So technically, that wasn't sellable merchandise.

When you buy sealed games at walmart for little to nothing, buy several copies to get your money back but try to keep as many sealed games as possible, especially switch. If you can just put those in a plastic tub and throw it in your attic. In 20 years a good sealed collection could potentially help you retire.

Back when i was a kid i use to be really good at all the NHL games for the Genesis! NHL 93 - NHL 98 i think it was. We use to go to a video game shop in our small town and pay 25 cents for like 15 mins... They had a gaming area set up with a tv with a few consoles! That you can pay and play! The winner would stay and play the next person free! Lets just say i played a lot of NHL for the Genesis free! lol... Happy Monday Retro'.
