First off you know your finances and if you can do $1000 grocery haul and be okay keep your budget at that price from now to the end of the year. Reason I say this is holidays are fast approaching and keeping the budget where it's at will enable you to buy stock up items at sale prices that will help create a small stock pile so if you are unable to run to the store for a couple of weeks due to inclement weather you are good. So like maybe aim per week to be $150 budget and that will give you $400 to put towards stocking up on canned goods. In my experience where we save the most money is by planning ahead and having a little stockpile to go through, doesnt have to be crazy. Plus here's another thought to help is to show your meal plan for the week and at the end of the week show if you were able to stick with it. I find it intriguing how people budget.

These are great ideas! Thank you for sharing. You are right about stocking up for bad weather. Our area is predicted to have a worse than usual winter so something I should keep in mind. Thank you so much for watching! 😊

Hi Nicole, The $800 goal is tough but can be done with your specialty item needs (gluten free, lactose, etc), but, I think it will take some creativity. Perhaps if you take some of the convenience things out of your hauls it might help. Eg: buy a block of cheese instead of cheese sticks, etc. One other thing that might help is to source a good bulk foods store for cereal, the green tea bags and gluten free items like the pasta. You could probably get gluten free cheese powder there as well. You should be able to take away the packaging costs from groceries. Maybe WinCo will suffice? Good luck in reaching your goal!

Did you subtract batteries and such that might have been on receipts?

I didn’t. It didn’t even occur to me. I’ll have to remember to do that next time. Thanks for the reminder!

I would not recommend Ghost cereal, I purchased the PB one... the aftertaste was bad, in my opinion. I was disappointed, and now I'm giving it away at my work goodbye money lol

What about meat?
@chorechannelАй бұрын
We bought a half a cow in March and so we don’t need much meat on a regular basis. I grab chicken, pork or lamb occasionally.
