Appreciate the review man! I was looking for a super cheap android tablet to just watch some Netflix or whatever in bed. A nice medium between watching on my phone and having to balance my laptop on my chest if I want to lay back lmao. I think I'll opt for the 8" version. Seems pretty beefed up for the small increase in price. Thank you! P.S., I do know the 8" is labeled as IPS, but I'm not sure about this one. But that bump in resolution is likely worth it for me personally. I remember absolutely hating the display on my cheapo Amazon 7" tablet which was the weakest part of that tablet IMO... Anyway, I'll quit rambling. Thanks again for a nice review.

Got one back in May for the kitchen so I can watch my stories and listen to music. Works great so far, but heats up a bit though. The sound is muffled so I just hooked up a BT speaker to it!

Just picked one up in-store at $28. Planning on using it for one app, an Android Screen Share (not sure which one yet). Just began shooting KZbin videos on a worktable with an LG G6 and wanted a screen so I could keep an eye on what I'm doing, making sure things are in-frame, etc. I have several older Acer 7 tablets but they all run Android 4, and none of the apps I want to run work on that. If this $28 ONN runs this one app for me, it'll be a win.

Plays videos with no problem. The 1gb of ram does make it a little slow but otherwise a great entry tablet if your looking for something cheap. Plays some games not all depending on the game. The only drawback is the 1gb of ram. I'd go for the 8in onn or 10in tablet instead because of the 2gb of ram

Anyone know where one could purchase replacement button covers for Onn 7 in tablet. The plastic buttons on the side.for the On/Off and Volume are one piece of plastic and and end broke. Only thing wrong with it is I need to replace the button piece.

I bought a 8" to watch videos on. It's a good tablet for that. I tried putting a game on it and it ran fine, but the large size didn't do well with the screen's large size and touch controls. If Onn put out budget unlocked phones that run like this, sign me up.

I got this at the Black Friday price, but I was hoping to install Android Auto on it and use it to play lossless audio in my 2019 car. But it looks like it won't support Android Auto. First, Google store said it is incompatible, then when I installed it from an APK file it crashes upon start with the Google Play Service error. For $28 I might keep it anyway, but really disappointed that it won't support Android Auto. It's the only Android device I've seen that won't support AA. :-(

The only thing I don't like about the surf 7th tablet is it's not loud enough I have the same kind of tablet and I got mines from Walmart as well and it's not loud enough like when you want KZbin when you on KZbin and listening to music it's not loud enough like other tablets but other than that I like it but I have to get the code off of my tablet so I can use it

I bought 2 of these today on black friday for $28 each. One will not charge past 68%, the other stuck on 85% battery. Re-packaging them now for my 50 bucks back. I just got my surf onn and when I put a phone on it and messenger it says that the microphone needs to be enabled and I can't find it. The app says to look under settings but it is not there. 😢

I bought the tablet for $28 at Walmart. I mainly bought it as an E-reader even though I have a Kindle. I'm going to return it. Walmart allows 14 day returns on this item. The tablet gets warm after using it a few hours. The battery life is short. It was almost dead after using it a few hours. The tablet is really clunky and slow. I tried to update the Walmart app on it. Gave me an error message that the Walmart app is not compatible with this device. In fact a great deal of android apps I use don't work on this device. I wanted to like it, didn't have high hopes for it, but this device is a bad purchase.
