My girl is a Garo and she introduced me to this music video. I don't understand a damn thing but frikkin goosebumps all over my body everytime I listen to and watch this video. According to me, I feel like the child in the traditional apparel is an embodiment of the ancient soul collector(Death) who walks about the world (with these worn out, black roses) and takes people's lives or brings home the soul of the dead. He shows some sort of remorse when he sees the lady grieving her lover as if it was his doing, but I also noticed he didn't touch the child that was studying coz his father always prays for his protection. At the end, did he come for the soul of the child who could see him? I would really like to hear the personal interpretation of Nokpante. Please.

Goumang Misao the songwriter has said that it is open for interpretation so this is how i interpret the song based on the lyrics- the child stands for innocence. The shoe, i suspect, stands for him being exposed to life/sin/all kinds of environment (since he is in traditional dress and the shoes are modern). Farther he goes, the more he walks away from the innocence and he yearns for the days when he was young and innocent (rimangpil ua salona means take me back to the days). Since this is taking too long, i'll just cut to the chase. In short, he misses his innocent childhood days where everything was joyful and he was carefree and did not have anything to worry about.... thats just my interpretation. Hope you found it helpful 😅
