Walnut with Maple inlay Humidor

Walnut humidor with maple inlay in the shape of a cigar band. Lined with resawn spanish cedar for cigar preservation. Engraved Lake Havasu in the center of the inlay logo and did a resin fill in the lake and lettering. All parts were resawn to custom thickness to create bookmatch veneers. Once again using the magic of my homemade cnc router and designed in Fusion 360. Other tools of interest are my Powermatic 2244 drum sander, Rikon 14" bandsaw and Leigh D4 dovetail jig. #humidors #walnut #cncengraved

Yes, thank you, I have watched many of your videos. I am currently in Afghanistan but when I get back home to Alabama, I am going to buy a CNC and start my little wood working biz. I have been a carpenter, both rough and finish since I was 15 so I have amassed a good amount of tools so far. I just bought a Laguna 18" model 3000 on ebay and some buddies are going to pick it up for me. I also bought a large Grizzly dust collector system on Craigslist. I have a small 6" jointer and I will make that work until I get more established. I am debating right now about the drum sander. That is how I found your channel. I am debating between the Supermax 25x2 and the Powermatic 2255. They are the same price. The Supermax has 2 advantages that I see. (1) 2 grits of paper, (2) much higher HP and 220v. The Powermatic has the advantage of open end for wider pieces and ease of table adjustment with a knob on the outside. Just torn between the two. Anyway, rambling on. @@iROBODUDE When I bought the Powermatic I didn't have 220 in my shop, so I had little choice. I was going to buy a Laguna 24" drum sander with two drums, but the lack of 220v kept me from buying that. Let me know if you need help with CAD files when you set up your CNC.
