I love the Arp87, and this looks like the perfect follow up. Retains the size; but expands on what left me wanting from the ARP, most notably reverse, stacked, and stereo outs.... however, while minor, the tragically bland design is pretty disappointing- especially coming off all the previous generation of Walrus pedals artwork being the coolest on the market.

They do similar things but the age knob adds in gentle clipping for adding warm "grit" to the effect that you can't get with the tone knob. The Tone knob has a larger range and allows you to make larger tonal changes.

NOBODY builds a small delay pedal with the option to switch between two subdivision settings on the fly. Via footswitch, internal or external. My idea is a "Baby U2" pedal, which allows me to use eights for the riff or the choruses and dotted eights for the verses, or whatever. With Modulation with speed and depth knobs, EQ to darken the repeats, a mix knob that goes from 100% dry to 100% wet, AND A FOOTSWITCH TO SWITCH BETWEEN EIGHTS AND DOTTED EIGHTS, with a bicolor LED. (Other subdivisions could be chosen via internal dip switches). And bypass and tap tempo should be integrated into ONE footswitch, like Lin6 did it in the old Tonecore series. That's still the best tap tempo implementation, as it can be used a) within a song to correct the tempo, often two taps are enough and b) to tap the tempo of the next song and turn on the delay with the next beat. The drummer counts 1-2-3-4, or hits the sticks, I set the tempo by tapping four times and on the next "1" I start the song with delay. Very easy with the Line6 Echo Park, impossible with most other small delays on the market.
@walrusaudioeffects4 жыл бұрын
Ingo Bacio you can easily do that with midi or make two identical presets on the pedal but only change the subdivision.

It’s the universal audio Ox. You can use them as an attenuator but they allow a way to track your amp with speaker cab emulators (Impulse Responses, or IRs). You can change speakers, mic placement, add room reverb etc while still using your own amp.

Did anyone else buy one of these and find the build quality was absolute garbage? On the one I bought the internals don't line up properly so you cannot use the midi input/outputs and the power input needs to be forced to go in the socket (because it's not lined up properly), one of the 1/4 inputs was completely loose and the housing screws are tapped on angles so the screws are not flush on the bottom. I emailed them to advise but, have had no response. This was on the 25th of April and it's now June 11 so may be behind with everything that is going on.... The quality didn't surprise me after the Phoenix I bought ages back had a loose nut bouncing around inside it..... Live and learn though as instead of getting a Walrus Slo when updating reverbs, I bought a Matthews Effects Astronomer. Much better quality 👍. Update on this situation - Walrus have shipped out a replacement pedal and were very helpful after making the above contact. I haven’t been able to make it home to check the new pedal works due to local travel restrictions because of the Covid situation here but, I’m sure it’s all sorted now. Cheers!
