I was in Bali back in 2018 and I gotta say, I somehow love the traffic as well as the „rules“. Its basically Ordo ab Chao, Order through chaos. Never had any driving experience with scooters or motocycles, but drove from Canggu to Ubud (for a girl lol). The girl wasnt worth it, but the ride, as scary as it sometimes was, is def. sth I will remember for ever. Almost got hit twice, getting lost multiple times even with gps, trying to talk to the natives somewhere before Ubud, and 30 mins before I arrived it started pouring out of the clouds like shit. When I tell the story of my ride, all my friends were like:“ Why would you do such thing?“. I still cant give you an actual answer( well, I can...). And I wont advise anyone to do the same. But if you have up to par (!!!) reflexes, strong nerves, and the willingness to be on adrenaline for the time being, this might be sth for you too. I enjoyed every single minute on my scooter in Bali, with this extraordinary long, stressful, nervwrecking yet incredibly fun and sometimes disturbingly blissful trip, as well as all the other times I rode my bike. Still, you should always wear protectional gear. And try to assess your actual driving capability, your reflexes in everyday driving and your actual willingess to drive bikes. Ive seen guys and gals being like, yeah, a friend of mine told me it was fun, but Im generally scared of bikes. Do yourself a favor and dont ride it if you are actually scared of it.

That's pretty login traffic acceptable to me as exactly as the same in Phnom Penh. Thank for your video as I plan going there in Dec. or Feb. 😂😁

WalrusRider when you think about it it seems dangerous but tbh it’s not as bad as you’d think. I went in November with a bunch of mates and we would go out at night making a bit of dust

Hehe, I drove from Bali to Java to Sumatra (and back), I have years of experience like you, but to be honest, to anyone I love...Don't do what I did. If you're comfortable you can drive a scooter "because you did that once when you were younger". No...Don't do it. I give you a 30 % percent chance you crash

I tend to agree. I never advise anyone I like to ride a bike lol
