This is an original building of the Walsall Workhouse. It was the offices and admin building for the Workhouse management. It was never used for patients but was used by hospital stores until the new distribution center was built in the 1980s. It is listed but attempts to sell it have failed. As usual with most hospitals, they'll let buildings decay until it's agreed to demolish them, like St. Margarets, Great Barr. In its day the Workhouse offices would have been quite a grand building.
