Great video, just to let you know I am going to feature this on Walsall in Photographs, the town looks good, I have personally removed graffiti and tagging in a;; the shopping areas you walked round, there is as of last Saturday no old graffiti tagging in the main shopping areas. In the first arcade past the bus station I only just before Xmas cleaned off the ;last of the shutters there I painted the walls by the bus station and in the alley by WH Smith. I repainted the large street bins and utility boxes in the main streets. When the market is shut the flat beds of the stall are in the vertical position I have repainted all 45 of these. Me and others are all volunteers all equipment is donated, we also litter pick and I clean bins to get vape stickers off, we remove flyposters too. There are challenges like ALL town centres with the loss of big store chains that have gone bankrupt like BHS Debenhams etc but there is a lot going on here and the place is doing OK

@@travelwalkstv Try the Arboretum walk around the lakes it's lovely much improved. When there note the large utility boxes, in black I repainted all those too

Lived here all my life and the town is run down and horrible now, the market is rubbish compared to how it used to be. Nice video though.

I only recently visited Walsall. What was it like before. I imagine more busier? More interesting markets etc? A bustling city?

@@travelwalkstv It's a town not a city! Gosh it was amazing for shopping we had so many shops like M&S, BHS, The Body shop, TKMaxx, Next, H&M, Goldsmiths, La senza, Debenhams, the list goes on and on. Then over the last 10 years (slowly) but dramatically in the last 6 years they have all gone and we've been left with nothing. Shame really!

everywhere is struggling now, irrelevant that there used o be the big shops they are all closing , places like Gracechurch in sutton is struggling now the big stores shut
