I loved the music in Walt Disney's Paul Bunyan. Here's a compilation of the music from the program. Featuring The Mellomen.

That's exactly what the American Dream was. Having the freedom to do cool shit while also living a humble life without the need to chase wealth and power. Then the Bolsheviks and their agents came along....

John Henry: Out passed a machine built for driving nails and dug through a mountain with dual wielding hammers Johnny Appleseed: Created several apple tree plantations all across America Paul Bunyan: The biggest man ever to live, and could do the craziest things.

Sumerian Lore: Gilgamesh! 3/4ths God, King of Sumer, said to rival the Gods themselves! He went on a quest for immortality, only to achieve a form of enlightenment and rule as a great king! Greek Lore: Heracles, demigod child of the All-Father himself, blessed with the strength to move rivers and hold up the sky, driven mad by Hera into killing his wife and child, sought atonement from the universe by succeeding 12 impossible missions and eventually becoming The God of Strength! American Lore: So there’s this HUGE fucker named Paul.

Lyrics to the awesome song at 2:40 With my double blade ax and my hobnail boots I go where the timber's tall When there's work to be done, don't mess around Just sing right out for Paul Lumberjacks: Hey Paul! Paul: (spoken) I'm comin', boys! Lumberjacks: Paul Bunyan! (Paul Bunyan!) He's 63 ax handles high With his feet on the ground And his head in the sky Hey Paul! (Hey Paul!) Paul Bunyan! (Paul Bunyan!) Well, he picked up his ax and he chopped a tree Clean down with his forward swing Got him another with his ax swung back That timber cuttin' king He kept on a-choppin' 'til the live-long day And then when it was night He walked back over the stumps he'd cut And stomped them out of sight Thanks Paul! Paul: T'weren't nothin'! Lumberjacks: Paul Bunyan! (Paul Bunyan!)

I've always wanted to restore this film, or at the least transcribe the music. I've already figured out the first couple notes of the melody, I was wondering if you know if there is sheet music for this around anywhere?
@fishesdeep4 жыл бұрын
I admire your ambition. The sheet music is controlled by Walt Disney Company and they certainly have a tight lock on all their property. As far as I know there is no sheet music floating around for this song. My recommendation is to find a talented musician to help you with the music. It would be worth it because you may end up spending a lot of time looking or trying to do it yourself, Good Luck and let us know when you succeed.
