So was Walt until Gus tried to kill him if you remember. The only difference was that Jesse was more easily manipulated by Gus.
@sir_fapalot4 ай бұрын
Nah Gale was what Gus was looking for in a cook. Gus only hired Walt because Gale insisted on it and he wanted to learn from him. One interesting thing was when Walt fired Gale from the lab. It was a big mistake for Gus to let him do that, he had already given Walt the lab and a job, his family would be safe, but he was getting more greedy. If Gus had refused to fire Gale, maybe Walt would've known his place, Jesse never cooks in the lab and probably gets himself killed by those guys who killed Tomas, Walt doesn't intervene, keeps his job and Gus probably doesn't kill him when Gale reaches his skill level. "Happy" ending.

It was because Jesse asked the question. He was always behaved somewhat more respectfully towards Jesse, albeit probably on Gus and Mike's orders. But if Walt asked, he'd have ignored him, just like he failed to respond to Walt's "hello". Gus wanted Jesse on the team by this point and Walt out of the picture. Tyrus was always unpleasant toward Walt in practically every scene they share and clearly held him in contempt. He deliberately made life as hard for Walt as possible throughout Season 4 all while they gradually tried to reel Jesse in, and they came very close to succeeding.

@SangreFriasBack10 ай бұрын
The way it seems to have been before Mike showed up is that Tyrus was the head enforcer. I imagine Gus moved him to manage a different section of distribution, to keep him and Mike from butting heads too much, and was brought in on short notice to fill in once Victor was removed
@shido51809 ай бұрын
Based off the sheer amount of surveillance done by gus on werner and his crew despite trusting them, and Mike's quote "They know we'll be watching we just don't need to shove it in their faces," he was probably guarding from a distance as opposed to being active deterrence
@zekeiwa58379 ай бұрын
Given that Mike and Tyrus didn't seem to get along during BCS, I think Tyrus was Gus' right hand before Mike, so he was more in charge of logistics while Victor was more of his gun and in charge of the dirty work.
