For those of you who don't know, the reason why Walt had a hard time coming up with an example for this is because the first example that came up to his mind was Meth, which is itself a Chirality. While the righthanded version of it is the drug we all know, the left handed version of it is an innocent nasal blockage medicine. This is one of the most common examples when talking about Chirality, and it's the first one to come to Walt's mind, but he didn't wanna talk about it. This show has so much detail.

This scene was filmed at Rio Ranch High School in room SC201. The stuff on the board and in the demonstrations were provided by the uncredited Mark Leonard, a retired physical science teacher who died in a tragic skiing accident a few years ago. it's sad to see walt have so much passion for the subject he loves, only for him to teach it to nobody who appreciates it, imagine being so invested in something that interests you, but you have no one to share it with, no one else was able to relate to walt's proficiency in chemistry (save for gale but that was later on), so when he decided to start living life on his own terms, he decided to share his devotion to chemistry in a way that other people can certainly experience, meth, and to this end, lives were ruined and all the while, walt's ego was fed to a degree that allowed him to establish a meaning for his existence, what a beautiful show

I read a really good fan analysis that theorized that Walt intentionally chose a public high school job instead of a university position, because doing so allowed him to be the smartest person in the room. The person suggested that Walt's ego required being surrounded by intellectual inferiors. It was pretty thought-provoking.
@futuremovieactor
@futuremovieactor 2 жыл бұрын
@@danielclinkman7683 That's one theory, but another could be that Walt was sattled with a high school job because no college hired him and no college hired him because he gave up his stake in a mulit-million dollar company for no reason--thus why he became so lowly and put down and eventually made crazy decisions based mostly on boosting his own self-worth. Another theory is he wanted to have the biggest effects on the youngest students possible because then he was the most influential to them in their science teachings that way.

I love the attention to detail here how Walt is covering up his criminal ways towards his students, but also shows he does still have some morality. You can see it clearly, because he says "good" instead of the word "breaking", showing another example of opposites towards the students, but it's also Vince showing us Walt has yet to break bad and that there is still good in him! @@LeonardStauffer Science develops through various ways in history. It's very important. For example, take Lenard and Hallwasch's experiments on the photoelectric effect, from 1886 to 1902. They keep experimenting, but couldn't explain what was going on, because at their time, the electron hadn't been discovered yet. It wasn't until JJ Thompson discovered the electron in 1897, that Lenard and Hallwasch could finally complete their experiments and conclude it. These are instances in history about science that teach us a lot about circumstances, about how problems we face today could be explained by something much more fundamental that we are yet to discover.

Went through school, A student. Loaned myself to to the hilt and went through college, again A student. When I left and my student loans became due I started work in a supermarket stacking shelves. As a low income base I didn't have to repay my student loans. Did that for six years, then quit and took a proper job related to my education. That was 10 years ago, as of today, and no one has ever come after me for the student loans.

@@fro_e Back when school was the hardest thing in life especially in this day because they just slam kids with homework. When I was a Senior in HS, hell even a Junior (I graduated in 2015) my biggest problem was realizing that I had only 1-2 years left of seeing most of my friends, to this day I still haven't seen 95% of them (in person), and haven't talked to about 90% since. Even though they're all still alive (as far as I know) at the time it felt like everyone was dying at the same time. Because even though they aren't, the result is the same, never seeing them again... sorry for this random ass "rant." I was just confused as to why 99% of my class was happy school was ending while also fully understanding they weren't thinking about it ending in the same way I was.

ShadowNova300 I totally get where you’re coming from but it’s part of life. Same thing happened to me in high school and college. Graduation filters out most of your friends. Life just takes all of us in different directions and people naturally grow apart when you don’t get to see them on a daily basis. I graduated HS in 2013 and I would say I really only still speak to 2 of my HS friends on a consistent basis. Our graduating class was over 700 students.
