How beautiful to explain something as complex as the start of life on Earth and how it evolved and functions, then how and why we disrupted all that and the consequences we are dacing, to end by offering a simple, effective, doable solution: eat locally, choose organic and if you are producing food, do it in partnership with the soil, trusting Nature's processes. Really inspiring

A very profound conversation. We need to be humble observers and let nature help the seeds we plant.

It sounds like it's very important for growers to be clear when they are helping nature along vs creating toxic conditions in the soil.

Excellent demonstration and visual diagram of a cells protective layer and how it relates to the plants we eat. Fantastic display of biochemical processes for life on earth🧐

Put seeds in the ground and get out of the way That is the simplicity We need to plant plants and then eat Allow nature to work nature's magic We are along for the ride Nature is the conductor.

Production agriculture is by definition not simple or natural... even in robust regenerative ag farms we're still playing with nature - but ideally in a way that is more economically viable, sustainable, and serves to increase the resiliency of our food systems.

Great talk Walter! I did however appreciate the moderator's astute comment in the question and answer section that Walter was outside of his area of expertise when answering some of the questions.

Can't wait to chat with Walter myself :) :) :)

I question the legitimacy of some methods of John Kempf, but he has found ways to introduce biological farming to conventional farmers. That I think is the hardest thing to do - introduce new people, or rather old mindsets, into farming in a way that is more in line with nature so that we can have better food and cleaner/healthier ecosystems.

Hello from the UK I have watched a few video clips now and this is what I understand and the way I farm. Up until now it has been very finger in the air and wind blowing in that direction with nothing to back it up, so thank you for making this available for us to see.

By that same logic, 4th Phase water started all life.

We had tillage for 10,000 years causing desertification - mycorrhizal fungi was destroyed in that process continuously. Since WW2 we've become much more effective at killing the fungi. It's an oversimplification to say that all started with WW2.

Totally the case. He does mention this in different lectures.

Do intelligent microbes make intelligent humans, do humans need to eat intelligent microbes just too believe? Thank you so much.

Impossible. Humans are selfish and make choices for self, like ; ease, cost, prestige & dreams. We as humans, created this problem & now we have to swallow our personal priorities & begin to reconnect, rather than destruct.
