To be fair Mike had it coming. Live by the gun die by it. He wasn’t going to get a happy ending where he rides off into the sunset.

I was definitely not expecting Walt of all people to kill him. Walt was a murderer at this point but he only killed people who were a threat to him so him killing a defenceless Mike was a shock.

Mike in BCS is very smart, calculated and has a lot of experience but this may be way he wouldn’t think much of a chemistry teacher and why walt always got the best of him. Walt simply is a genius with a dangerous ego.
@theinsurance24503 ай бұрын
At the end Mike made a lot of mistakes. Not trusting Saul was one of them. Even though it made sense why. His mistake with Walt is attacking Walt where it hurts most his pride. Walt up to this point only kills for his interest. Never for Petty reasons. Even Walt after shooting Mike was suprise by his actions.
@dinochookproductions51903 ай бұрын
mike in bb is much sloppier and careless compared to mike in bcs. in bcs, he still has his morals and tries to do the right thing to help his guilt of failing his son, but after the conversation he has with papa varga at the end of the show, mike gives up on trying to be better. be adopts the ugly side of him and thinks himself the same as gus. throughout breaking bad he's pretty much a dead man walking, a shell of his former self
@Mythowars3 ай бұрын
He’s was also genuinely trying to leave town at this point and wanted to go. He didn’t want to have a problem or start a struggle with Walter he knew time was up. I love he told Walt to shut the fuck up as he kept rambling trying to make himself feel better

It’s really scary how an ego can take over a man’s body. Walter White never ever won , not even one time against his ego. Rip Mike.
@A1_Amir3 ай бұрын
He did when he finally put his own life on the line to kill Jack and his gang, knowing full well either the FBI would catch him, or his crafted gun mechanism would, or Jack and his gang. Either way, when he wanted to die, was when Walt truly wanted to destroy Heisenberg

"Known your place", that was it.
@H.K.528 күн бұрын
That was an awful thing to say tbh, how was Walt supposed to “know his place” while working for a sociopath like Gus?
@MattMonk25 күн бұрын
@@H.K.5 I think it fits the Mike character perfectly, he wasn't necessarily ever happy about the things he did for money but he was willing to do them because he was a mercenary. I think by "known your place", he just meant "been like me".

Walt shoots Mike Also Walt: 😧
@mr.nobody28583 ай бұрын
It was in the heat of the moment and Walter instantly regretted it once he started to relax a bit and realize what he did. He ain’t justified either, we just know Walt never meant for this to happen.

@@mr.nobody2858 Walt didn't regret it at all. He was never going to let Mike live.
@mr.nobody28583 ай бұрын
@@BlueLikeWoah Look at his body language and reaction when he shot Mike, his murder of Mike was not premeditated. What he wanted was the names of his men but he didn’t originally plan to kill Mike since he only took the gun just in case things went south. He even said sorry too, which is not something Walter is used to saying genuinely. He genuinely apologizes to Mike for shooting him and dooming him to die. He does care that he killed Mike, he feels emotional about it. If he didn’t regret it at all then he would have either shot Mike one last time without apologizing or he would left Mike to die while gloating to him. Which would be in line with him since his ego and pride reaches it’s limit in Season 5.
@BlueLikeWoah3 ай бұрын
@@mr.nobody2858 Walt's just doing his usual "act shocked and helpless" routine. And he did leave Mike to die. He hunted him down specifically to make sure he was dead and he waited until he died. There's a zero percent change he would have let Mike leave when that would have resulted in Mike killing Walter later for offing those guys. It's why he took the gun out of the bag before he turned up there. His intention was to get the names and kill Mike.

@theinsurance24503 ай бұрын
@@comeatmebro8120That was moment he truly became Heisenberg. From that moment on. Walt was crime business boss. It was no longer I need money for my family, or trying to survive. However after Jesse left and there was no longer any reason to fight. Along with Walt getting his cancer back. He actually wanted to quit. He proved he can be a crime boss, beat everyone and be better than anyone before ever was. There was no longer a reason to continue. He wanted to end things as the king Heisenberg who only stop because of retirement. But Hank found out the truth. He was on road to lose everything and be the king who was caught by leaving evidence in his bathroom. There was a reason to fight again and be on top. However once he had to choose between staying the king vs k*lling his brother in law. He chose the ladder. The first time and only time he made the right choice. But it was too late and lost all of it anyway. This cause nothing but hate on his heart. Selling Jesse to Jake gang and even kidnapping his own daughter. He try to give the money to his family but they didn't want it. They hated him. Walt was at rock bottom. Ready to give up. Until he saw Elliot and Gretchen. The two who started Walt reason for this from the beginning. They looked down on him more than they ever did before. That what made Walt realize he not done yet. He will get his revenge on everyone who wrong him as well give his money to his kids. Walt died as a man who Sacrifice his pride to get his kids his money. Even if they don't know it. Something old Walt would never do. He made sure Jake gang and Lydia were dead. Heisenberg wasn't beaten. He went out on his old terms. Having his recipe die with him. As he is sure Jesse will never cook ever again.

Right, because the decision to make a lethal highly addictive poison to sell to the masses, like he did at the beginning of the series, wasn't all that evil or villainous at all.

@@mantistoboggan7228the people he sells to would just get it somewhere else. At least with his product it's pure and not cut with other harmful substance that would kill them. You don't get addicted to meth on accident, only way to get it is if you are actively looking for it.

Why are people talking over dialogue? You’re missing some great acting and writing when you talk.
