From 25 years ago ... when Walter was perhaps at the peak of his performing ability. Now, he's 81 yrs old, I believe, and no longer doing much playing. I do enjoy listening to him when he was in his prime. My cousin, who also had a polka band in Canada, was very familiar with Walter, which was how I originally learned about the "Canadian Poka King".

I've never seen a man look so happy and so unhappy at the same time :o

You have to concentrate to play the melody in your right hand and the basses with your left hand at the same time. So yes, you're having fun, but you're also focusing on what both your hands are doing!

@@gregoryschmidt1233 The orchestration of such an intricate task must be somewhat daunting or stressful no matter how happy the music is. I tried accordion but it's so damn hard honestly. Idk how these old timey euro folks could all play it so well without flaws. Must take 20 years of practice at least. Sounds easy but is really hard to do. This is coming from a guitar and flute player.

@@mitchymasar9549 nah the left hand automates itself after playing a few years , and so does the right one , it gets quite normal , at least it did for me , but i still cant talk with someone while i´m playin xD

Don't knock polka and waltz music unless you've danced to it. Many of us are in love with it.
