+usamacka Hello, I was there too, and also my first trip to Slovenia, my father's birth place, Mirk Yama! It makes me cry too, and I think I may have taken for granted some of my heritage! Blessings to you!

A true icon of Cleveland style Slovenian polkas! My dad's favorite, and one of my favorites as well. All the great ones are gone now, but their great music will live on in the hearts of Slovenes forever! Hvala!

I grew up listening to all the polka bands from the 50's, 60's and 70's. This music takes me back to happier times and gives me fond memories of my parents

They were simply the best - hands down - nobody to touch them I am third generation Slovenian - grew up listening to them as well as my dad who played chromatic accordion - he always said they were just the best of the best If you are Slovenian you have polkas in your blood. Slovenec sem. I am proud to be Slovenian

Absolutely amazing--this band was certainly different than ANYTHING than these folks had EVER encountered--Americans in white pants, loud shirts, a saxophone and *gasp* drums--playing and singing a classic song and just nailing it, to boot! An amazing video to watch--wish I could have been there in person. Joe, you are SO awesome to have found this! Thanks a bunch!

I played keyboard in a polka band in Mansfield Ohio during the 1970s. My dear Daddy on drums, my Uncle on sax & clarinet, my surrogate brother on accordion & a very special man, Tommy Grohol on guitar. One day I will join them all again & take my place on keyboard. Keep that spot open, gentlemen. I'll be there soon enough!

Not glass slipper. Frank kramer did this in the late 1960s or 70s. Its a Slovenian melody originally....!!!!

Nice playing! The box sounds a bit thin and weak bass. Maybe its the recording quality??

@@armstraat26b To my knowledge there isn't a vinyl record of this song by Johnny Pecon, there is however a CD "Pecon -Trebar, The End Of An Era" on Classic CD, CL1651. It's available from Fred Kuhar 1951 Garden Drive Wickliffe, Ohio 44092-1140 USA
