Oktoberfest Opening Day, Carl Zehr Square Kitchener (formerly Berlin) City Hall, Freyasday 7 Oktober, 2022. Walter Ostanek did a marathon performance with several sets at this location for Okoberfest opening. It was a cold day, but there was a beer tent set up in the square with traditional Weissbier, which is getting more popular in Canada. There is a cafeteria next to the square for those who need to warm up a bit.
Walter Ostanek is a good example of a long time internationally successful artist, to look up to, for aspiring musicians. Also the style of his playing is easy going, easy to listen to, and has been popular for many years in many countries. He is one of the best accordion players and Polka musicians around today. It doesn't have to be rock 'n roll or something else, with Polka music having a long endurance as a enjoyable style of music.
