Walter Ray just bowled another 300 Wednesday on Facebook, he used a plastic yellow smiley ball. He commented about it "That's 4 300's now, 2 in PBA50 tour competition and 2 in league. 1st 300 with plastic in over 10 years I believe. I think my last with plastic would have been at the PBA doubles tournament with Tom Smallwood many years ago."

The first video I see on a channel called "OneHandedBowling" is of the GOAT... bowling two handed. I love irony.

This seriously makes you think if he had done his entire career two handed he possibly could’ve had even more titles. Man does he throw it good with two hands, totally different pin action and ball motion compared to his usual delivery.

People have no idea how hard that is to do especially once your 50 or above, it literally puts double the torque on your knees and back, also generating any decent speed is very hard, Walter is just insanely talented

no it doesn't

@@odellus As a 59 year old, I can agree about generating speed. I bowl one hand no thumb and have to use the whole approach to use my legs just to get to 14.5-15 mph on the monitor. Any slower than that makes it really hard to keep the ball on the right side of the lane and be consistent. I would say 98%-99% of bowlers over 50 use their thumb.

If you do it WRONG it puts double the torque on your knees and back. But if you do it properly and in a way that is athletic as possible there won't be any pain at all. Bowlers who aren't athletic in their approach/release are the ones who complain about knee/back/hip pain the most. And that's true no matter how you bowl.

@@SirJoelsuf1I think you are correct, I started bowling at age 49, was no good at one hand so went to two, still no good but the ball hooks!😂

@@SirJoelsuf1 & Odellus until you've actually cashed in a pro tournament you should probably not supply people on here with your less than accurate knowledge, as someone who has been athletic my whole life and can bowl one handed and two handed I'd say i have a better grip on it than you, now try reading my post again and think. Cheers

Walter bowling two-handed is a sin. But I respect his ability to do anything with a bowling ball.
