Literally made his living on the outside part of the lane. Simple turn of the wrist + acceleration of the arm at the point of release = most PBA Tour Titles to date. Nothing flashy, nothing too complicated.

Why new bowlers don’t try to learn his style is beyond me. Best bowler ever!

There's a couple of good reasons why... I actually HAD his for 5 years until 2 weeks ago, when I started my two hand transition. Two hand allows for more control, at least for me, and it does for a lot of other players, too.

I fight my own style constantly. I want to bowl like EJ tackett but I’m really a Walter ray. I literally average from 175-180 when I try to throw with lots of revs and speed and when I I focus on being accurate and stay right I average for 200-210. I’m learning not to fight your style

THE MAN, DEAD EYE. When he was on TV it was almost a guarantee the title was his. Made me sick sometimes how much he would win. There was nothing flashy about his game, he just got it done ALL THE TIME.
