Something like this actually happened with a local cop. Pulled over someone and they told him “I’m already late so just give me the ticket please.” He said “well now I’m not going to!” and walked away. Wonder how silly he felt after 15 minutes or so

I completely agree with that Walter. I was doing 75 in a 55 in my car. He came over the crest of the hill and I knew he had me. I pulled over immediately and just waited. He let me off with a warning and it was all due to the fact that I stopped like that. Being courteous can get you out of alot of jams. Doesn't always work, but the last 3 times I've been stopped, no ticket because I owned what I did and told them I was dumbass and I was sorry.

Oh man, I can feel that moment. One time, my girlfriend said she’s out of relationship and of course I got upset.. When I drive away from her house, I got angry and speed up to 100 km/h in 30 zone. And there was cops in opposite direction from me. I saw them, when I passed them and realised in seconds, what a crazy and danger move I do and pooled over asap. Watching police in mirror, they had turned left turn light, to make u turn. But as traffic have passed and gave them way to do manoeuvre, they turned off light and went straight away. Truly, I could lose my license that day. But luckily they saw me pooling over and probably was like: This guys got to understand, for what he did. So yeah, big moral is, if u want to do race, don’t do it in city or town! And respect police job!

I will agree that honesty is the best policy. I was leaving work one day, and turned left. Out of nowhere, I see a cop car behind me in the lane I turned into, and I thought I cut him off. I was like "Oh shit, I better pull over." Pulled over, and he just made sure everything was okay (I explained why I pulled over). I thought I did a bad, and he was like "Nope. You're good. License?" looked at it. "You're alright, just make sure you're double checking before you make that left turn again. Take care." (It was something like that) No warning, no ticket, just have a good day. I think he was just checking the DL to make sure it wasn't expired... or the fact that I always look like I'm 12, but I was maybe 28 then.
