Hi everyone! First of all, SPOILER ALERT! Don't read this comment until you watch the whole video. So I later learned that this cat was actually one of the cats of the kind old lady in our neighborhood. You might remember that lady from the "Dirty Kitten Gets a New Home" video (from 2017). As you can imagine, I still keep in touch with that lady. I got all her female cats spayed after I met her (Some of them were already spayed but most of them weren't). And then a few more over the years. So I am making sure that the number of her cats don't increase. She still has less than 20 cats that live in and around her house. A few of them died of course of old age over the years. So here is the situation. This cat from the video above was born at late 2019 according to what the daughter of that lady said. And she said the kitten had that shaky walk even since the beginning. So this actually confirmed the vet's theory of "the result of a prenatal disease". And the daughter took the kitten to vet many many times after that. He had lots of injections she said. But of course the walk never really got better. It doesn't have a cure unfortunately. But she said he didn't have epileptic seizures back then. So that's a new symptom that probably started after I found him. So in the beginning of 2020, the daughter returned to her own city which was very far away from here and she didn't come back for a long time. (The pandemic also started back then) So the cat continued to stay with the old lady in our neighborhood. But I've never come across him during my visits to the lady. Because I would have remembered if I had seen the way he walked. So back in February 2021, this cat got lost one evening the lady said. She said he probably might have gotten pushed away by the dogs and then maybe he couldn't find his way back home. So after that, they searched for the cat with her neighbors but they couldn't find him. And some time before that date, the daughter bought her mom her first smart phone and since the lady didn't know how to use it efficiently, she was frequently losing the contact numbers on her phone. Because normally we would talk over the phone at least once in every 1 or 2 months. But when she lost my number a few different times back then, she couldn't call me until I called her again. I explained this in detail because this is probably the reason why I haven't heard about that cat's being lost from the lady over the phone in the first months of that event. Because if we had talked back then, she would have definitely mentioned her cat being lost. And then I could have told her that I had her cat :)) Because since I have never seen a cat with neurological problems in the lady's house, I haven't even thought of mentioning this cat to her. [After that incident, whenever I find a new cat, I call her first :) ] One other weird thing is that I have never walked Walter at such a late hour at night before. But that day I just did. And I came across that cat rolling down a steep road close to our street. It may even be the same night that he got lost, I don't know. But overall, I found him and you watched the rest of the story in the video. And then at the end of 2021, I somehow mentioned this cat to the lady and then the whole thing became crystal clear :) She and her daughter became incredibly happy when they heard that the cat still lives! And they were also very happy to hear that he found that perfect home and family. And we decided that the best home for that cat was the home that he is in right now. Because the lady definitely can't look after him the way his new family does. I now frequently send the photos of Minnav to the lady and she loves seeing how happy he is through the photos! And yes, she is using WhatsApp now :) So everyone is grateful that things turned out the way they did. It became a very long comment but I wanted to share this with you with all the details. Take care! Btw, the daughter of the lady sent me a photo of this cat taken when he was a kitten and I put that photo on our Instagram page. You can check that out here: instagram.com/p/CgEtRB2o6fR/?igshid=YTE5ODU0Yjk= ------------------------------------------------------- Merhabalar. O teyzeyi 2017 yılındaki "Dirty Kitten Gets a New Home" videosundan hatırlayabilirsiniz.

No wonder I am ADDICTED to your stories of true attention, patience and kindness. I am so moved by you. And BTW, thanks for the shots of Istanbul and the bridge. You make your fans very happy and thankful for you and your families.

Minnav is blessed many times over. Despite being born disabled, he was sheltered by the old lady. When he was lost, you and Walter found him and got him treated, fostered then eventually found a forever home with a family that loves him the way he is. Such a lovely story, filled with difficulty and hope in equal doses with a better than happy ending!

Unfortunately there are not so many animal lovers like these people! There are so many cats and dogs living in the streets, suffering from many deseases and hunger, no vaccinations, feeded with human food which is left over or the rubbish they find in the streets. A lot of animals died last very cold winter because they didn't have a warm shelter. In Istanbul the situation is really horrible. I have seen several dying cats! I tried to help some but there are so many of them and most people don't care except a few angels! One feason is that people think that dogs are unclean creatures because of some religious reasons and they don't want to take them in the house. So "waltersantiindie" are very special extraordinary people!!
@calimero6002 жыл бұрын
@@nurtaniaseptatina7224 in Turkey is the same situation like in Greece. MOST cats and dogs are living in the streets without a caring owner, just suffering from one day to another. The situation in Istanbul is so horrible and is getting worse, because most of them are not neutered and they become more and more. There are just a few people who help like "Haytep". Last Winter a lot of cats died because they don't have a warm shelter. A lot of people think they are "unclean" creatures ( religious reasons) and that's why they don't put them in the house.

Sir, I’ve been moved by all of your wonderful rescue stories, but this one truly has had me in tears. That poor lad had such hurts and challenges, and such great vulnerability. Cats battling against huge problems like this is such a betrayal of their magnificent birthright, somehow! I’m having strenuously to block out imaginings of what might have befallen him had you not found him, but his treatments have brought him to the joyful point where he can get back up every time nature knocks him down. How brilliant it was to see him in all his natty little outfits and comfy lounging spots! (That mad green knitted hat with the topknot should have its own blog) Any animal lover surely recoils at the phrase ‘dumb animals’, owing to the way it’s always misinterpreted, but this story really makes you think about how our animal friends have to depend on us to advocate for them, and give them a helping hand if we can. Seeing this lad feeling so much better, and so evidently relieved to be in the arms of a loving human, is enough to make you weep. Thank you, dear friend in your enchanted garden in Turkey, for all you do in spreading love to cats in need. 💕😽🙏🏼🐾👏🏼

I volunteer with a cat rescue in Vancouver Canada and we often have these type of cats. The condition is called Cerebellar Hyperplasia or CH for short and the kittens are born with this condition. Some are much worse than this cat and wobble uncontrolably, while others are not as severe. I loved watching your video and thank you for everything you did to help this cat, and for helping the lady in your neighbourhood who has the 20 cats, I also help cat owners with multiple cats and make sure the cats are spayed and neutered and have donated food. I am very touched by videos about disabled cats, because years ago I took in a cat myself that was left behind by its humans and had an accident in traffic. The consequences were immense. Half of her tail died off, she could no longer control her bladder and developed a megacolon. Those were hard times. But she wanted to live and was able to enjoy it for a long time despite everything! We had almost 10 years together before it got so bad that I had to let her go. I wish so much that people would also give these cats a chance. They give us so much in return! ❤

Mannav will live a comfy life despite his disability. My heart warms knowing that there are still few good people in this world. Stay blessed!

So this little bugaboo is only 2 1/2 years old (per your pinned comment)! He’s very lucky that you and Walter found him. With his unsteady gait and seizures, he might have been run over by a car or taken by a predator. I’m very glad that you and the vets were able to figure out why he wobbled and stumbled. He was very lucky to have such caring fosters and that the second ones became his family. He’s now safe, can get his medication daily and be the happy, spoiled boy that he clearly is. I’m sure your elderly neighbor worried about him and I’m glad that she is happy for him where he is and that she gets to see pictures regularly, like a doting grandma. Live well, Minnav! I wish you and your people many, many happy years together.

Thank you for saving him and getting him the help he so desperately needed, and thank you to the family who loves him so wonderfully!!! I love his outfits, too cute and this little guy has the cutest face and cheeks in the world! I had a cat with severe epilepsy many years ago and he would constantly cluster seizure until the specialists found a combo of drugs that really helped (pheno and gabepentin) and he lived a long happy life!

He has the most lovely green eyes. He turned out to be a handsome little guy. Glad he has a wonderful home and beautiful people to care for him. And thank you for caring. I wish there were more people like you. I wish the people in the states would care for the animals. We have a lot of good people here. But we need more. Some people have pets but don't take care of them. I don't understand why they have them. Thank you again.

Ahhh, we all love a happy "foster fail" story. With your kind and committed help, plus the so generous fosters, this cat has done very well: lots of cats with neurological problems do not manage to groom themselves or use the litter tray. I wish long life and thousands of cuddles to Minnav.

I had 2 cats who were born with cerebellar hypoplasia (CH) and they had odd walking also. Their mother had a virus when they were in her womb which caused the cerebellum to be underdeveloped and that in turn caused them to have issues with their motor skills. They passed on years ago but when alive they were wonderful loving cats and I miss them. So glad to see your sweet little guy in the perfect home. You can find information on CH cats on youtube. Thank you for all your beautiful stories. They touch my heart.

What a glorious story and journey for little Minnav to end up in the arms of his very own loving and caring family. So glad these great people had a 'foster fail'! God love you and Minnav's beautiful family for giving him the greatest life. Everything happens for a reason. There are no coincidences in life.

What a wonderful story. It really does "take a village" to raise kids ... AND cats apparently. Minnav has such a sweet face, and he looks happy too. Thank you to all the hands he passed thru, the vets, the rescuers, the fosters ... and finally ... Minnav, who never gave up. 💓💓💓
